a small poetry for my late Grandmother:

You picked me up
And held me tight.
And said you loved me
Every night.

a day has passed,
But I still feel the same.
I don't think I've ever
Felt so much pain.

I know you're looking over me,
Flying way up above the clouds,
But what I miss the most
Are all of the sounds.

I want to hear your voice,
Not just in a dream, but for real,
To tell me that you're happy,
And I can tell you how I feel.

I'll try to move on, but I know
It's not gonna happen, but I will try.
What hurts the most
Is I never got to say goodbye...

thanks for taking care of me since I came to this world and giving me the love of a mom and the love of a grandmother too. I'm sorry I wasn't there at your last moment to give you a final hug and kisses like we used to. I hope you meet grandpa and look after me from sky above. love you grandma and may you rest in peace.
