They all watched as the recipes from the cookbook flew away in the air, one by one as the air devoured every single one of them.
It looked quite a lot like New Year fireworks, only magical.
Kelly, Hannah and Darbie had definitely missed being the protectors.
They used to cook all the time together and the three were inseparable friends.
But now, every single soul knew about the magic.
Ish turned back to look at the cookbook, which was now just an empty, blank ancient piece.
"What do we do with this now?" She asked her friends.
"Okay now I know that that is something we can't share." Leo said.
"Well, maybe you guys can continue writing your own spells in it, you're still the protectors, you know. It's not like we can't use magic anymore." Hannah suggested.
"Good idea, Hannah! Thank you!" Zoe said.
"But do we still need to hide the book?
Even though everyone knows about magic, they don't know that we're the protectors." Leo said.
"Wow, Leo. I didn't think about that. We'll need to come up with a different plan." Said Ish.
"There's still one thing that's weird." Leo said.
"What's that?" Darbie questioned.
"Does no one realise that this whole thing makes her Zoe Maddox?!" He pointed out.
Everyone dropped their jaws and laughed.
"Leo I never thought about that! But technically, it makes me Zoe Maddox Sellitti!" Zoe said. Leo and Kelly smiled.
"Uh, guys, we should get home now, it's night time and I'm dying to see what my parents are going to say about this!" Darbie said.
"It's going to be really weird!" said Kelly.
After two seconds her smile faded. Everyone was giving her the look. She took a deep breath, trying to hold in her laugh and then said, "But, good weird!". Everyone chuckled.
"Come on, let's get home! Bye guys!" Hannah said.
They all waved goodbye in return as Ish closed the gate of the terrace. "What now?" She asked Leo and Zoe.
"Well, we should go down and see what the story is." Zoe said.
"I wonder if they'll start bringing the spices to the grocery stores around." Said Leo
"Yes! I was wondering about that too. Kelly wasn't wrong, this does feel weird." Said Ish.
They started walking down the stairs."Imagine what will happen at school! Will we start taking magic lessons?!" Zoe said.
They found themselves at the bottom of the staircase, entering nothing but good old, normal Sellitti's Restaurant, with nothing special going on.
Everyone was either on their phone, eating or ordering food. The trio looked at each other in confusion.
"Um, did they spell not work?" Said Leo.
"I don't think so, the starter was quite powerful, the spell should have worked." Said Zoe.
"Let ME try." Said Ish, emphasising the word "Me".
She walked up to Nick, Leo's father, who had just finished taking down the orders of table 5.
"Hello, Mr. Sellitti." She started off.
