Chapter 5 - Just Add Lifts

Zoe and Leo were just done packing their bags for school, well almost. Zoe had forgotten her History notebook.

"Well, happy first of November." Zoe said, turning around to grab her notebook and sighing.

Clone Leo gave her the look and said, "Yes, Zoe! I have been kidnaped. Happy. Totally happy."

"No! That's not what I mean. What I mean is hopefully we find you today. That's happy. Right?" Zoe said, half scared.

Clone Leo sighed.

"We will leave for school directly after. I've told mom and dad that we want to take a morning walk before we go." He said, lifting up his bag and carrying it on his shoulders.

"Got it." Zoe replied.

"Where's Ish?" Clone Leo asked.

"At her house, of course! Where else will she be?"

"I'm going to call her." Clone Leo said, grabbing Leo's phone and calling his friend.

"Hello?" Came from the other side.

"Hey Ish! We're leaving right now. Meet us at Sellitti's in 10 minutes."

"Okay sure. Bye."

"Bye." Clone Leo cut the call.

He tilted his head to the side again, just like before, signalling Zoe to go downstairs with him to Sellitti's.

The two of them sped off.

They walked down the hallways, soon reaching the lift and Zoe pressed the button for the ground floor.

"Do you really think someone from the hotel could have kidnaped me?" Clone Leo asked as they entered the lift.

"Were not one hundred percent sure that it's a kidnap, but what else could it be?"  Zoe said while the doors were closing.

"True. I mean, it could be another hotel too, you know. Why Espl-AAAAHHH!" Clone Leo exclaimed as he felt a weird sensation in his stomach.

Zoe seemed to have felt it too. Their house was on the third floor.

The sensation was the one you might get in a lift drop, which is exactly what it was.

"UH, UM, IS THE LIFT FALLING?! OR IS IT JUST ME!?" Zoe asked her clone step brother, terrified.

"NO, IT'S NOT JUST YOU AND I DON'T WANT TO KNOW!" Clone Leo said.

The two kids clung to the bars, hoping that the fall would be over soon and they would have someone helping them.

"WE'RE GOING TO DIEEEE!" Zoe screamed.
DANGGGSSSHHH! Crashed the lift to the ground floor, where the restaurant was.

It had lasted for at least 4 seconds, since their floor sizes were huge.

The two started breathing heavily.

"Is it over?!" Clone Leo asked.

"Why?! Do you want it to continue?!" Zoe asked, eyes wide open.

"What makes you think that!? Aah!" Clone Leo exclaimed, looking at his knee, which got scraped on the floor of the lift when they fell.

Zoe noticed and frowned immediately. She checked herself too, in case she also had gotten scratched, and she did, on her palm. They sat on the floor.

"Hey! You're bleeding! Are you okay?" Zoe shouted. She hated the sight of blood.

"I don't kno-AAHH! it burns, a lot AAHH. You're bleeding too." Clone Leo was in a lot of pain, stammering constantly with 'AAHHs' as he examined his knee. He was more scratched than Zoe was.
