Chapter 5
"She's coming to!" Niall replies. My eyes open, and I try to sit up. "April, don't sit up. Lay down." I look at him, rubbing my throbbing head.
"What happened?" I ask, my voice trembling, but still very weak. Niall motions for Harry to go and get something.
"You passed out," Liam replies. "We're going to give you another shot, though." I sit up, nervously.
"What if I can't do it?" I ask, fear being revealed in my eyes, and voice. Harry and Niall, both, look at me, with a glimmer of hope in their eyes.
"April, don't think about if you can't do it." Harry replies. "You CAN do it." Glancing down at the ground, I start to tear up.
"My stage fright-" but Niall puts a hand on my lip, stopping me. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Shea come backstage, followed by Louis, and Zayn.
"April, Zayn told me what happened." Shea replies, his voice shaking. He looks at my hands, and notices they're both shaking. "Are you okay?" I shake my head.
"She's still a bit shaky, and anxious, because we told her she has another chance." Liam answers. "She's not sure about whether she'll do alright, or not." I dry the tears from my chocolate eyes, and look back down. Harry walks over to Shea, and gives him a bracelet. My bracelet. He examines it, noticing one charm in particular. A charm I had made myself, back in 5th grade, when I got the bracelet. He looks up at me, in astonishment, and walks to where I am.
"April," he says, holding the bracelet by that one charm. "You made this?" I blush.
"Yeah," I reply. "I made it in 5th grade." He looks at my hands.
"You're still shaking." He acknowledges. "Are you alright?" I shake my head, again.
"Shea," I explain, anxiously. Everything starts to spin, again. "I feel faint."
"Lay down." He replies. "It'll help a lot." The room grows darker, and darker, with every word.I struggle to say anything. I start to fall back, as everything becomes pitch black.
