Every morning, I would walk with my daddy to the bus stop. Usually we'd step aside the sidewalk and pick a perfect, sweet, fully bloomed magnolia. The state flower of Mississippi. I would always take the magnolia and carefully place the magnolia in my backpack and give the magnolia to my favorite teacher. Mrs. Hood. Mrs. Hood was my first grade teacher at Sherman Avenue Elementary School. I had two friends growing up. Megan, a perfectly calm, sane person, then Emily, a adventurous human being that's always looking for adventure. If any of you know what it feels like to have friends that are completely opposite, please comment.
