We all want that fairy tale ending.
We all want to find our prince charming who rides up on a white horse.
We all want to have that dream wedding that was being planned from the time you turned ten.
We all want to have a family that is perfect in every sense of the word.
We all want to grow old with the one we love and die a peaceful death.
The problem is that all of that is a load of crap people want you to believe.
Reality has a way of making you crave a happy ending. You want to escape a screwed up life to find a better one. After all, no one wants to be broken down and hurt from the trials that life has put out in front of you.
We can all try from the time we are young to create ourselves to be perfect - the person that is perfect for someone else.
We can try to put our best foot forward and not let negativity get to us.
We can try to see that perfection is not something we can obtain, so we stop and start to mold ourselves to be who other significant other wants us to be.
We can try to stay in the world of bliss that the one person created for us from the start, but in the end we can't.
We all end up losing a piece of ourselves that we can never get back.
We all get lost on the way to happiness, since happiness has a way of masking itself and then taking the mask off later on.
What hides behind the mask is different for everyone.
There is pure torture that will make your head spin and your body numb.
There is the constant nagging of someone else for you to do as you are told.
There is the stinging of words or physical touch that seems to leave your skin on fire at the end of it all.
There are so many more, but not everyone has the time of day to rack their brain and list them all out only to make the reader cringe at the end.
We all want to have a happily ever after. It's something that we dream about every day from the time we are young. Having someone there for you in the darkest of times and the best of times would be your own personal angel. Letting someone carry part of a burden that you have carried would be your own personal saint. Allowing someone to love you the way you can only dream about would be your perfect spouse.
Yes, there are happy endings, but only in stories about faraway lands that are a figment of our imaginations.
