Your POV
I held my crossbow tight as I left my father's laboratory. I learned a few things since I was born, but it might take me a bit to get the hang of everything. I went out in the stormy night, which at first frightened me until my papa taught me what it is. My black dress swayed in the wind as I trudged slowly towards the castle of the vampire. The stories my papa told me were very scary and I hope they aren't true. Vampires that bite and suck blood are very frightening and unappetizing. I shuddered the thought away as I finally got to the castle. I went to the side of the castle trying to find a window to climb into. I found one and hopped inside. The castle was very dark and barely lit with candles on the wall. I went down a hallway and saw many pictures of vampires! I let out a small shriek as I tried to contain myself. "Hello? Is anybody there?!" I heard a voice, oh no!

Count Duckulas POV
"Nanny I wish to have some broccoli sandwiches." Nanny was my ditsy caretaker and I have my butler, Igor, shaking his head at my request. I am getting peckish from hearing Igor read me a bedtime story and Nanny was scared like a ghost in the daylight. "Ugh nevermind I'll go get it." I sighed as I got my clothes and went down to the hallway. I heard a shriek and shook my head.

"Very funny, Nanny. I get that you are scared. But there is nothing to fear." I looked around and didn't see Nanny. "Hello? Is anybody there?!" I heard another shriek and went down the hallway as quick as I can. "Funny, I didn't expect any visitors. Especially at this time and stormy night." I then saw a girl wearing a black dress with (h/c) hair and (s/c) skin with her arms around her head.

Your POV
"Funny, I didn't expect any visitors. Especially at this time and stormy night." I saw the vampire coming my way and I panicked as I raised my hands over my head. "Please don't bite my neck!," I cried. "What? Bite you? I'm a vegetarian" I looked up and saw a nicely groomed duck with a cape and a red bow tie. "What's a vegetarian?" He smiled down to me. "Well its when I dont eat meat of any kind. Even blood. Yuck! Come on now why do you have a cross bow?"

I held it close. "My papa told me vampires are bad and that they will drink my blood." "Not me. I don't like blood. Sure my ancestors drank blood, which I don't like one bit. But I can assure you I don't have fangs or the desire to drink blood. Now tell me, miss, what is your name?" "My papa calls me (Y/N) what does your papa call you?" "Well my name is Count Duckula, please to meet you madame." He kissed my hand gently.

"What did you do?", I asked. "I kissed your hand. Its a way to show gratitude and care." I took his hand and kissed it. "Awe shucks. Come, come. I'll have my butler give you warm clothes and you can stay for tonight." I smiled as I left my cross bow behind.

"Igor! We have company!" I saw an old vulture looking at us. "Yes my lord," he spoke in a calm voice. "Hello there," I said gently. "Why, hello Madame I will take you to get cleaned up." I went with Igor and a maid named Nanny to clean me up and keep me warm in clothes I never saw before. "My lord, she is clean. I have to tell you something." Count Duckula smiled and lead me to his bed. "Yes, yes very good Igor. Let her sleep well." I slowly closed my eyes as he wrapped a blanket around me.

Count Duckulas POV
I tucked (Y/N) in my bed and left her to sleep to talk to Igor. "Now what is it Igor?" "Well, my lord, it seems she told me her papa is none other than Dr. Von Goosewing." Oh that doctor. Always trying to get me. "Wait what?," I was shocked to hear this. "My lord, she was going to kill you. She was built not too long ago." I looked back at my bedroom and back at Igor. "But, she is so nice. She doesnt know much either. She doesn't even know what a simple kiss on the hand is. Igor, we must train her to not harm anybody. Even harmless vampires such as myself.

Igor sighed and said, "But what about her 'papa', my lord?" I shook my head. "If he even tries to harm her, I will do something I will probably regret." Igor lit up slightly. "You mean? Bite his neck?" "Igor, you know I'm a vegetarian. No no, I will just tell him to go away like always." Igor sighed. "As you wish my lord." "Good night, Igor. Goodnight, Nanny." "Goodnight, my duckypoo." I went back to my bedroom and saw (Y/N) sleeping soundly. I can't believe she is Dr. Von Goosewings daughter. Oh well, as long as she doesn't harm me or anybody else, she will be fine. I laid down beside her, brushing a piece of her hair out of her eyes. My goodness is she beautiful or my name isn't Count Duckula! I kissed her head and soon drifted to sleep as the sun was coming up.
