Chapter one: The streets cold embrace

Jackson roamed in the alleyway searching for some kind of food for him to eat for he was weak, he had been on the streets for a year now because of his previous owner abandoning him on the cruel streets of the city, Jackson cried softly just thinking of his previous owner he let out a sad melancholy howl and these were his heartbreaking words, "I want to go home I miss my mom I hate being so alone God please whatever did I do to deserve this pain and agony please send someone to help me..."then suddenly he looked into the distance squinting his eyes softly,excitement flooded through his mind as he saw what looked like another puppy!, he ran full speed to the puppy It was a girl but she looks hurt, in his mind he said, "I-I've got to help her get somewhere safe!", he came up to her and licked her and nudged her head gently,"h-hey get up it's not safe here it's almost night" , she raised her head up looking a bit scared, she said in a timid yet sweet tone of voice, "h-hello there h-how did I get here....?" He replied nervously, "I don't know but we Need to find some shelter" , she nodded in agreement and struggled to get up, Jackson then picked her up and put her on his back, "what's your name?" , she replied, "my name is Roxana, and you?" , he sheepishly replied, "u-uhm I'm Jackson, it's very nice to meet you Roxana" he carried her along the streets of deer oak ridge hungry and tired but his heart was determined to save Roxana from dying from her massive amount of blood loss, he looked around in the trash for a shirt ahah!, he grabbed a ripped shirt and gently wrapped it around her bleeding leg, Roxana let out a soft whine as he wrapped up her wound, she talked in a sleepy voice, "where are we going to sleep Jackson?..." he thought for a bit then he picked her up yet again he saw a broken down car so he ran towards it determined to keep her safe, he gently set her down on the car seat and wrapped her up in a blanket, he snuggled up next to her and he gently licked her nose lovingly they both drifted off into a deep sleep, but another day awaits.
