Chapter two: Pleading eyes

Jackson yawned softly and he nudged Roxana to wake her up, he said in a sleepy voice, "get up Roxana we need to get going I'm starving here!" Roxana woke up glaring at Jackson giving him a soft growl "Ugh fine I guess I agree with you, very well pick me up slave hehe!" She gave him a smug look, Jackson looked at her and he rolled his eyes at her scoffingly, "Suuuure princess" Jackson gently picked her up and set her on his back, Jackson looked up at her and spoke, "happy?" Roxana looked down at him smiling she giggled softly she replied, "very happy", he walked along the streets and he found a bag of fast food, he ran full speed and he grabbed the bag eagerly, Roxana looked down and drooled a bit she exclaimed, "Oh heck yeah we hit the jackpot Jackson!" , Jackson looked disgusted as she drooled on his head he barked at her angrily, "SAY IT DON'T SPRAY IT ROXANA GEEZ!" She replied teasingly, "oh does someone need a belly rub heheh" she then exclaimed excitedly, "hey I see another dog!" He replied excitedly and he squinted and he saw the dog and ran towards it, he yelled out for the dog, in his mind he said "T-that looks like my mom!", he bolted for the dog Roxana then yelled out angrily "H-hey hold your horses partner slow down!" The dog walked up to them and he smiled at them gently he had a deep raspy voice and bright yellow eyes that looked as if they were burning emeralds "hello little ones why are you out in this big city all alone? Owners abandon you two?" They both nodded looking saddened The big dog gently picked them up and put them on their back "my name is Chomps and you two kiddos?" They both replied " I'm Roxana" "and I'm Jackson" Chomps smiled with his huge toothy grin, "well don't worry I'll take good care of you guys I promise", they both seemed to be in safe paws now or are they?.
