Chapter three: The angle in dog form

Chomps yawned softly and continued walking through the streets carrying both Roxana and Jackson, he then spoke gently to both of them "you two lovebirds awake?" Chomps laughs in a loud tone of voice as Jackson looked at Roxana and he blushed brightly then looked away from her, Roxana giggled softly at chomps remark she blushed a bit as well, chomps spoke yet again looking a bit serious, "listen kids you need to be prepared to love yourself before you love others when you hold someone dear to you and you want to hold them close you should never let go of them Because anything you have could be taken from you in an instant" chomps tears started to trickle down his hazelnut fur "I've always wanted kids but never had my own because of my dear wife died from being hit by a car i-i couldn't save her in time..." he then looked up to the sky and he spoke, " she lives up in the sky now with all of the good dogs and puppies her name was Lydia she was so kind and only cared about others instead of herself" chomps continued walking down the streets he then looked up and saw a huge city he had been walking for so long that he forgot where he was, a girl walked up to chomps and pet him on the head she exclaimed, " oh you three are all so cute I'm gonna take you three home you'll be safe I promise" chomps walked with the woman in his mind he said, "this is only because I'm weak and hungry I'm not going to get abused again..." the woman excitedly said to them, " welcome to your new home darlings!" she showed them the huge house all three of them looked at it in disbelief, suddenly shots could be heard in the distance a bullet was flying through the air forcefully, chomps jumped in front of the bullet throwing the puppies aside to keep them safe, chomps Was on the ground bleeding heavily the women then called the police and a vet, both Roxana and Jackson howled and cried just praying to god that chomps would be safe.
