Y/n POV

So mom and dad aren't coming home, right." I said, disappointed.

"Yeah, but we get to go to the beach today." Rachel said, smiling. "Cheer up!"

"Yeah... whatever." I mumbled quietly to myself.

"Let's go pack lunch." Rachel said, tugging at my hand. I let her lead me to the kitchen. Together, we packed three sandwiches, just in case we were really hungry, some fruit, and four bottles of water.

We rode on our bikes to the beach. Rachel walked off with Rory, her pixie, and P/n, (pixie's name) started to play in the water. I quietly strolled on the sandy beach, coming close to the rocks.

Something caught in the corner of my eye. It was a boy, the same boy I had fought yesterday. His name was Ira. His icy blue hair was all tangled up and he had multiple scratches on him.

My instincts kicked in and I ran toward the water, pulled  him out, and put him in a comfortable position under a tree. Ira's eyes slowly fluttered open. I bit my lip nervously.

"H-hello?" Ira said weakly. He smiled. "You pulled me out of the water, right? Thanks, I really appreciate it." I stared at him in shock. What's wrong with him?

"Where am I? Come to think of it...who am I? I forget." He said, rubbing his head.

Something clicked in my brain. "It looks like you have amnesia, Ira." I said softly.

"Ira. Is that my name?"

"Yeah."

His stomachs started to growl. "Here." I said, pulling out a sandwich. "Eat this."

"Wow, thanks!" Ira said. "You're really kind! And really pretty too." He added, blushing slightly. I blushed as well, my cheeks felt like they were on fire.

"Y/n?" What's Ira doing here?" Rachel asked, glancing at Ira cautiously.

"He was knocked unconscious in the water. He has amnesia." I explained carefully to Rachel. She might want to be a doctor, and has a lot of experience, but I had more.

"But he's a Mercenare, Y/n!" Rory cried out. "He's our enemy!"

"I know. But he needs help, and I'm going to stay with him until he gets his memories back. I'm not going to turn my back on him." I said firmly.

"She's right Rory. Let's give him a chance." Rachel chimed in.

"Fine. But if he attacks us, don't say I didn't warn you!" Rory snapped.

"All right. I'll call a taxi to come pick us up." Rachel said, pulling out her phone.

At Rachel's house

"Hey, is there anything I can do to help?" Ira asked, coming into the kitchen where Rachel and I were making omelets.

"No, we're good." I said, taking two plates from Rachel.

"I got the recipe for these omelets from Maya's dad, and-" Rachel didn't get a chance to finish her sentence. She had tripped and fell on Ira. As I snuck a peek at them, I saw that Rachel and Ira were both blushing.

"Are you an angel?" Ira asked nervously.

I don't know why, but I flared with sudden jealousy. I placed the omelets on the table, more aggressively than I originally intended to. "Come and eat." I said in a flat voice.

They both came over to the table, and Ira grasped his fork.

"O-ow!" Ira cried out, clutching his hand. I reached over to help him, but Rachel was faster.
