Uh... it's been 3 months. 👁👄👁 I've lost interest in this anime, so that's why I wasn't updating in so long. I've legit watched over 30 anime cause of quarantine. I lost motivation. (I have no idea why I'm even watching an anime that's rated TV-7. But handsome tsundere Ira is in it, so works for me-) But just for y'all lovely folks, I will finish this book no matter what! I already planned out the next 15 or so chapters, so be watching out for those. And for those of you who are confused on what P/n is, it means pixie's name.

Y/n POV

"Oh." I said quietly. I have a black heart? How is that even possible? I'm a member of the Glitter Force, I'm not supposed to have a black heart!

"It's not bad or anything!" Ira said quickly. Too quickly.

"Yes it is. I'm not supposed to have a black heart, Ira. I'm supposed to have a pure heart. I'm a member of the Royal Trio, a member of the Glitter Force." I took in a shaky breath.

"Hey Ira." I said softly after a moment of silence.

"Yeah?" He said curiously.

"What made you want to be a Mercenare?"

The question hung in the air. Ira was silent for a long time, staring out the window. Did I make him uncomfortable? Maybe I shouldn't have asked him.

"You don't have to answer if you don't want to." I added hurriedly.

Ira shook his head. "It's fine." He sighed. "King Mercenare recruited the me because I had a black heart. Unlike other humans, I had a large amount of dark energy surrounding me."

"I see..." Is he going to turn me into a Mercenare? Is that his plan?

The door suddenly opened. "Ira!" Marmo exclaimed, coming into the room. "Hurry up and get your butt to the base! We can't laze around just because we captured one Glitter Brat."

"I'm coming!" Ira snapped, rolling his eyes. He gestured for me to follow him as he exited out the door, grumbling to himself.

I went outside and saw that Ira was hovering in the air. "Can you fly?" He asked.

I glared at him. "Of course not! If I could, I would have escaped a long time ago. Why? Do we need to fly somewhere? How am I supposed to get to your stupid base?"

"Shut up." Ira grouched. He then turned his face away, holding out his hand. "Hurry up and take it!" He shouted when I hesitated. I grinned up at his flushed face.

As soon as I got s grip on Ira's hand, he shot up in the air. I screamed at the sudden movement. I squeezed my eyes shut, wind blowing in my face. I cracked my eyes open just a tiny bit. Oh, how I regretted that decision. I could see the ground below me. We were so high up!

I opened my mouth, not to scream in fear, I swear I wasn't scared. I wasn't. I started to yell at Ira. "Ira!" I yelled, wind blowing my hair directly in my mouth. Oh, come on! "Slow down, for Pete's sake and mine!"

I looked up to check if he heard my desperate cries. Ira had a smug smirk on his face. Why that son of a toad smelling, llama spitting motherf-

I didn't have time to finish my curses, for we had landed near a building. My legs shook as I took deep breaths to calm myself. I glanced at Ira from the corner of my eye to see him chuckling gleefully to himself.

That slimy little bastard.

I laughed manically. "Ira." I said, quietly, dangerously.

"What is it now. Are you air sick or something?" He said, grinning slyly.

I smiled. I limped to him the fastest I could before kicking him in the shins. Hard. Ira let out a pained shout. I'm not done yet you stupid Mercenare.

As Ira cradled his foot, checking for bruises on the floor, I stood over him. He looked up, glaring daggers at me. "What was that for?!" He snapped.

"Better start praying Ira. Pray to the devil to spare your soul because I'm going to kill you." I snarled.

Ira gulped before standing to his full height, his injury forgotten. "You think you can hurt ME? I'm a Mercenare, and you are a puny Glitter Brat. You can't even access your powers right now! You can't do anything." He growled.

Does he not get sarcasm?! Oh good lord, now I really want to punch him.

I opened my mouth to snap a reply when Marmo stepped outside. "Will you two stop bickering and get inside already?! We have an important mission."

Ira muttered a curse under his breath and stomped inside.

"How immature." Marmo and I said at the exact same time. We looked at each other, surprised.

"I think I'm starting to like you, Glitter Brat. At least you don't pretend to be all nice like the rest of them." She said nice like someone would say 'spider' or 'cockroach.'

She turned and went back. A Mercenare who fought me just 5 days ago now likes me? Wow. Ira's words kept ringing back to me. Black heart... black heart.... what could that possibly mean? I better get inside before the others get all worked up and think I escaped somehow.

I quickly observed the surroundings. It didn't look that bad, actually. There was a small bar, a bowling area, and a few couches. I heard some voices by the bowling area, so I went to investigate.

"And why do I have to do that?! Go send Goldilocks instead!"

"The Princess doesn't want to, and you know what she'll do if we don't follow her orders. So suck it up, Marmo." There was a pause as Bel allowed her to calm down. "Ira, you're also going with her."

"Why do-"

I walked in. "Just what are you guys talking about?"

There was a cold silence. Ira studied the floor with sudden interest as Marmo crossed her arms, a pissed off expression on her face. Bel looked at me, narrowing his eyes. "How long have you been here?"

"Long enough to know you're up to no good." I said, scowling.

"What's the harm in telling her?" Riva said, literally appearing out of nowhere.

Bitch, where'd did you come from?!

Bel sighed, rubbing his eyes underneath his dumb sunglasses. Can't blame the poor guy, he has to deal with a bunch of morons every single day.

"Very well." Bel turned his eyes on me. Just as he opened his mouth to speak, a familiar voice called out, leaving me frozen in place.

"Y/n?" P/n's voice called out.

"I don't like you! Right?"Where stories live. Discover now
