Another Person's Darkness Can Be Someone Elses Light

Chapter Three:

Kaylies POV

I stood up off of the chair pacing around on my porch. After the fight about Levi. To be honest I cannot remember what the fight was about. I sighed and looked through my window debating on if I should go in or not. I ran my fingers through my hair sighing once more. Axel came out with a big bruise on his head. I looked up at him questioning him. "What the hell is that?" I say pointing to the bruise on his head. He shook his head and pointed to me.

"I was laying in that bed, then the gun came flying through the window and hit me in the head." He explains walking off of the porch. I started laughing I turned around to face him. "I did what?" I say still laughing. "You heard me." He walked up closer to me. "You're a bitch." He says pulling my hair. "Ow, okay lay off." I say slapping his hand away.

He smiled and turned around to sit on the porch. I sat down next to him and placed my hands in my lap looking at the street. I wanted to look over at Hiki who was now laying on the grass in his front lawn, but that would just be weird honesty. I looked over at Axel. "Did you finish your part of the essay?" I ask him playing with my fingers.

He shot up. "Shit! I have to go do that.. Heh, well thanks for the reminder Maria I have to go." He pats my head and runs off almost getting hit by a car. "DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH?!" I yelled standing up. "APPARENTLY, MY MOM IS GOING TO KILL ME ANYWAY, I'LL SEE YOU AT SCHOOL TOMORROW MARIA!!" He yelled running off into the distance. I shook my head and sat back down in the same position.

Him and his Maria, my middle name is Marie but he insisted on calling me Maria after I've been his friend for 2 years. I shook my head and pulled out my phone typing on it. I decided to text Maci to bring me out some food since I'm obviously not stepping foot into my house tonight. I was thrown out just for today for a reason. I wouldn't dare step back in. Axel basically lived there but dad threw him out too so he just snuck back in as I just ran off to the park.

Maci came out with a plate of food and set it down beside me. "Okay I have to get back to Brett, bye!" She yelled a little loudly walking back inside. I shook my head and looked down at the food. Well guess I'm not eating. I picked up the plate standing up walking to the side of my house throwing it in the garbage. I sighed, well I can't sleep on the porch knowing I guess my friend? Is right down the street from me so that's not an option.

Guess I'm going to Liam's house. Liam is my ex boyfriend as I mentioned before. Yeah were broken up but I have no where else to go so he is my last place to go. I stepped off of the porch looking both ways crossing the street. I walked up to the house that is exactly right across the street from mine. I slowly walked up on the porch hesitating to knock. I stood there for a moment then knocked on the door. I was hoping Kansas would answer considering I'm mostly here for her anyway but no it was Liam.

"Kaylie, what a surprise." He folded his arms smirking at me. I looked down at the ground. "Don't get your hopes up, where is Kansas..?" I ask him lowly. He looked around the street then down at me and lifted up my face. "She's not home, but good thing I am, right?" He bent down to kiss me but I slapped him across the face. "No, we're over, I never loved you, lay the fuck off!" I yelled at him. He sighed and folded his arms.

"Fine, guess who isn't staying heh you." He walked back in slamming the door shut. Well I should have expected that, he's an asshole anyway. Well my last option is Axel who's house is 2 houses down from Liam. His mom and dad hate me but you know what, I'm running out of options here. I walked off of the porch to Axel's house knocking on the door. He walked up to the door. "Uh, who is it!?" I signed and put my hands in my pocket.

"The FBI." I say he quickly shot open the door and looked at me. "Very fucking funny Maria." He says wide eyed. I smiled and folded my arms. "Please tell me janet and Felix are not home." I say to him he shook his head and stepped out. "No, not yet. But Becky is. And you know how she is-" He was cut off by Becky walking out. "EW WHY IS THE UGLY FAT BITCH HERE!!" She yelled Axel looked at her then folded his arms. "Fuck off." He says giving her the finger. "Thank god I'm going home." She says pushing me off of the stairs making me fall on the ground then walking off.
