"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" He pushed her into the ground and she slid against the floor. "What are you some type of lesbian?!" El looked up at the boy, her eyes were full of tears, and her cheeks were wet and bruised from his cold fist. He laughed and inched toward her.
"Don't touch her!"𝙹𝚊𝚗𝚞𝚊𝚛𝚢 𝚂𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚑, 1986 6:30 𝚊𝚖
El woke up to the sound of Hopper humming in the kitchen. She pushed the covers off her body and slid out of bed. She made her way out to the kitchen to find Hopper cooking up some pancakes.
"Today is the day, kid. First day of school. You excited?" El looked at him wide eyed, she'd completely forgotten that toady was her first day of school. Ever.
"That's today?" She asked with her normal clueless tone. Hopper chuckled,
"Go get ready, today is a big day." El rushed back into her room and looked in the mirror. Her medium length, wavy, brunette hair looked like a birds nest. She grabbed her hairbrush and brushed out her hair. She didn't know much about prettying up, but she knew enough to look at least decent.
Eleven played with her hair until she felt like it looked good. She sped over to her closet and flew through it. She grabbed a pink sweater, jeans, and a necklace to match, and threw them on. She went back over into the mirror and looked into it. "Perfect." she said to herself.
Hopper burst into her room, causing her to jump from surprise,
"You better come and eat before you're late." She smiled at herself in the mirror and walked to the kitchen, grabbing herself a plate of pancakes. She hopped up onto the counter and started to eat the food like a hyena. "Woah, woah, slow down there, you're gonna choke. And get off the counter.
El stopped as pancake was hanging out of her mouth and she slowly slurped it up.
"Sorry." She hopped off the counter and sat at the table, continuing to eat, but not as fast.
Ten minutes later they were both in the car, on the way to Eleven's first day of school. Oh how excited she was. She stared out the window smiling thinking about everything she was planning for the day.
Hopper pulled along the sidewalk of Hawkins High. He looked at El and smiled softly.
"I am so pro-" Eleven bent over and kissed his cheek, smiling.
"Bye Dad! I'll see you after school!" El got out of the car as fast as she could, she couldn't contain herself.
"Have fun!" Hopper yelled out at her as she left and then drove off a little disappointed he couldn't say the speech he had planned. El strutted down to the school entryway, holding the straps of her backpack and smiling wide. She was proud and excited. Into school she went!
El walked down the school hallway. Everyone was looking at the new girl, whispering about her, pointing. Eleven's smile slowly faded, what were they saying about her? She felt embarrassed and no smile was on her face, that was until she saw her one and only boyfriend, Micheal Wheeler, and her smile came right back.
"El! You're here!" Mike ran up to her and grabbed her hands.
"Can you believe it! I'm at school! Real school!"
"I'm so glad you're finally here." He bent down and kissed her cheek. "Have you gotten your schedule yet?"
"Schedule?" El looked at him confused.
"The list of all your classes?"
"Ohh." El pulled her schedule out of her bag, hopper had given it to her at breakfast. She handed it to mike as they walked down the hall holding hands.
Mike looked at it and frowned.
"We've only got fourth period together."
"So i'll only get to see you then?" She pouted and looked at him.
"Besides Lunch and stuff yeah. But it's better then none at all." El looked down at her feet,
"I guess you're right."
They stopped at Mikes locker and he opened it up.
"You know where you're locker is?"
"No.." Her voice was low, she was a little disappointed from the recent news.
"You can just use mine for now." He smiled at her. "Cheer up El, don't forget you used to have to spend all day away from me." El made a little smile.
"You're right, i'm not going to let this ruin my day." She smiled wide and Mike pecked her lips softly.
El looked around the school. She observed everyone and everything. She saw Troy, someone she didn't like particularly since he was one of the so called bullies. She saw a couple more people but only a few caught her eye, but one certain person caught her eye, walking into the school was Max Mayfield.
