Next morning...
"Okay I finished the paperwork" I say
"Alright thanks you're done for the day" the director says and I walk out into the dressing room.
However it wasn't just me in there, I was joined by Phoenix...
I try to ignore her but she always tries to start a conversation
"So you and Corey aren't pretending to be in a relationship I heard" she says
"Yeah" I say
"Just because you wanted to fuck around and not take your job seriously" she says and I turn around and face her
"It's not about not taking my job seriously, it's about me being happy" I say
"Well you lost a good guy" she says and I raise an eyebrow

"Corey and I are together now" she says and my eyes widened
"You're dating?" I say
"Yes" she says "You know all that time you've been hanging out with that Zion guy, we've been getting closer. I guess I really do take all of your guys..."
"Corey was never my guy" I say
"Just saying" she say "May wanna be careful with Zion"
"We're friends ya know" she says
"Zion and I aren't together either so I don't know what point you're trying to make" I say
"Well you guys fucked" she says and I stand there confused. How does she know all of this? I swear if Corey really told her, I'm going to kill him.
"Well we aren't together" I say and she shrugs
"Can you stay out of my business Phoenix? Like is it really that hard for you to not get involved with my life?" I say
"I'm just letting you know jeez" she says "Anyways, toodles!" she blows a kiss and walks out. The way she makes my blood boil.
I change and walk out to go find Corey.
I walk around the corner and bump into him
"Corey" I say
"What's up" he says
"Are you serious?" I ask
"What?" he says
"First of all you're dating Phoenix now?! After all the times you talk about how much you hate her and all the evil shit she's done to us and Kami?" I say
"People change" he says "Plus why do you care?"
"Because now you're going around telling your lil "girlfriend" things about me. How does she know about me and Zion?" I say and he stays quiet
"I feel like your just doing this now to piss me off" I say "Maybe Kami was right. Maybe you do have a crush on me and you just can't bare the fact that I won't like you back so you want to ruin my love life!"
"You know the shit Phoenix gives me whenever I even begin to talk to another guy. And now you're going and telling her about Zion?" I say
"What friend you are" I say and walk away
"Alaya wait" he says
"No I'm done. You broke my trust okay? Go ahead tell her everything about every guy I've been with so she can go and sleep with them and take them from me. I know what you want now" I say "Don't talk to me ever again"
I walk out and leave my work building. I get in my car and call Kami to meet her for some food.
We meet at a lunch bar and I tell her everything
"Are you serious?" she says "How could he ever do that?"
"I honestly don't know" I say
"He's really going to get a piece of my mind if I ever see him again" she says and I laugh
"I'm being for real" she says "He's fucking stupid"
"On god" I say
"Now enough about me how about you?" I ask "Have you talked to that Nick guy?"
"Yeah we messaged each other a little" she says
"I had the weirdest encounter with him at Zions place" I say
"He's actually really funny and chill the more you talk to him" she says "And who knows? Maybe we can go on double dates" she smirks
"I'm not dating Zion" I laugh
"Yeah but there must be some feelings there" she says and I shrug
"Yeah there definitely is" she says "I know you. You almost hooked up AGAIN, you talk to him almost day, there's no way there's no sort of feelings forming"
"I guess" I say "But now with Phoenix knowing, watch her go and ruin my chance with him. Should I even try?"
"And that's where you don't let her, girl." Kami says "You need to stop giving up and defend you and your man. Stop giving in to her"
"I've seen you beat a bitch, you can do it again" she says
"It's hard because I work with her, trust me, I would've been dragged that hoe if i didn't have my job on the line" I say and we laugh
"Just don't let her get in the way of you and Zion" she says "I see potential in you two"
"I love you besto" I say
"I love you too bestie" she says and we hug
