"What are you doing here?" I say and he steps in. He pulls a bouquet of followers from behind him and I stare at him blankly
"I'm here to say sorry" he says and I scoff
"After almost a whole year? Yeah no thank you" I say pushing him towards the door
"Alaya" he says and I cross my arms
"Is Kami here?" he says
"Can you leave?" I say
"Just please hear me out Alaya" he says
"What's there for me to hear? Your bullshit is just going to go in one ear and out the other" I say and he grabs my hands
"I know there's days you miss me" he says
The first few months after we broke up, I was devastated. Like heartbroken. I didn't even get up for work and almost got fired. I looked a wreck, wouldn't fix myself up. It was pretty bad until Kami knocked some sense into me.
Now it's like I completely forgot about Tyler. But him coming back is now replaying all the memories in my head
"You hurt me Tyler" I look down
"I know, I'm stupid. I was drunk and I know that doesn't justify what I did. But every night I regret that night" he says almost crying "I miss your touch, your lips, your comfort, you're everything I ever needed"
"Alaya?" I hear and turn around. It was Zion
He looks at Tyler and I confused. Zion knew about Tyler but he never saw him so I don't think he knows it's him.
"Oh" Tyler says letting go of my hands "You had a guy over"
"He's my friend" I say
"I'm just gonna go back outside, call me if you need anything Alaya" Zion says
"She won't need anything from you" Tyler says
"Excuse me?" Zion says turning around and Tyler rolls his eyes
"I don't even know you dude, don't make a bad impression" Zion laughs and walks out
"Seriously Tyler?" I say "Stop being rude"
"Just letting him know who's in charge here" he says
"And it's not you" I say patting his chest
"Whatever" he says "Now where was I..."
"Tyler look. I cant do this again. I'm sorry" I say "I'm not putting myself in this position again"
"Baby it was a mistake everyone makes the-" he says and I cut him off
"Don't call me that" I say and he sighs
"You'll see Alaya. I'll make it all up for you. To show you how sorry I am" he says and then he kisses me. I kiss back for a second then push him
"Bye" I say and he walks out. I look at the bouquet of flowers he left and throw them on the floor. I stomp on them then kick them.
"FUCK" I scream into a pillow on the couch
I breath in and out and walk back on the balcony. Everyone was dancing except Zion. He's sitting down, looking bored.
"Hey" I say "Why aren't you dancing?"
"Oh I was just waiting for you" he says "Making sure you were alright"
I smile and grab a drink
"Who was that?" he asks and I sigh
"It was....Tyler" I say and his eyes widen
"Why the hell was he here?" he says sitting up
"Im the wrong person to ask" I say and take a sip of my drink
"What was he saying?" Zion says
"Look i don't want to think or talk about him right now. Forget he even came" I say getting up
"Let's just have fun" I say reaching my hand out. He grabs my hand and I pull him up
"I'll make you forget about him" he says and kisses me, pulling on my bottom lip
I pull back immediately "Zion" I say "Not now"
He looks down and nods
I walk towards our drunk friends and try to forget what happened at the door.
