The moon shone so brightly that I could see it from my windows which were covered with curtains. My insomnia was taking over once again. I ripped the flower patterned coverlet off of me and went over to the baby blue cushion which was right next to my window. I knelt on the soft cotton seat, my knees instantly sinking into it, it almost felt like clouds. I opened my windows pulling aside my royal blue curtains, the cold but still air hit my face making tiny bumps form on my hand. I looked up to the sky noticing this specific star all by itself, thinking about how similar we both were.

"I wish that I could at least have someone to talk to, maybe a friend," I whispered to myself. Looking back to the lonely star while tears slowly made their way onto my face. I harshly wiped them away, standing up I grabbed my navy blue silk towel and headed to the bathroom to take a cold bath praying that it will at least make me sleep. After the cold bath I got into my bed once again snuggling up to my human size wolf stuff animal."I hate it when you don't answer me,"I said as I bent my head and began sobbing. After a while my eyes instantly fluttered close, the only scent I could smell was vanilla that I sprayed on Luna, my stuff wolf.

I tie my hair into a messy ponytail tying it with a scrunchie, I massaged body lotion on my pale skin. After I finished my night routine and grabbed my all time favourite book 'Waterfall' and took a spot on my bed. As I was just getting comfortable my stepfather called me downstairs.
"Hailey make me something to eat!" shouted my stepfather from the living room probably consuming alcohol. I sighed I didn't want to go downstairs and face a hurricane so I just pretended that I didn't hear anything.

In a matter of minutes my stepfather barged into my bedroom pulling me harshly from my arms, my book fell face flat on the floor. He dragged me down the stairs,a sharp sting rang through my body, I saw a glimpse of blood on the side of my foot. When he reach downstairs he pushed me into the kitchen my head hitting onto the bottom cupboards my eyesight went foggy for a moment but I shook it off.

"Dinner should be ready in five minutes" he scowl in my face.

I bit back my tears that was threatening to spill because he can't see my weakness. I got up from the floor ignoring the throbing headache and the slight pain in my foot, I hastily put stale slice bread into the toaster and fried some eggs in no time I served my stepfather in the living room.

After that nightmare I walked up the wooden stairs, sounds of creaking was heard as it supported my weight. I spotted the rusty nail that pierced my foot, at the sight the tears that was held captive were now freed. I walked into my room my knees feeling weak with every step I took, but soon that wasn't on my mind when I heard a faint sound from my wooden cupboard that was besides my window.

"W-who is there?" my voice didn't come out all that strong but was still audible. I mastered the strength to open my cupboard when the scraping sounds became faster and louder. I opened the door and a 'yelp' came out of my mouth as I saw a grey wolf, blue eyes staring at me intently its little head tilting to the side watching me curiously. I crawled to the other side of my room but the creature crawled towards me, the wolf bowed its head almost like saying that I shouldn't be scared. I put out my trembling hands and poked it on its head when I made the contact the cub pushed up his head so my whole hand was now it. Its fur were unbelievably soft I passed my fingers through it making the cub close its eyes at the feeling of being messaged.

"where did you come from little fella," I asked the cub even though I know I wasn't going to get an answer.

The cub turned its focus onto my bed and that's when I noticed that my wolf plushie was no longer there.

"where is it?" I asked myself as I walked to next side of my bed checking to see if it felled. The cub started to scrape the bunk of the bed I turned my attention to it, my eyes widen in confusion when I spot the similarities between my wolf plushie and the cub that was in front of me.

I robbed my eyes making sure they won't playing tricks on me. "No that's impossible," I said to myself. As if the cub was reading my mind it jump onto my bed making itself comfortable but also leaving space for me.

"No way" I said my head going through a lot of calculations on whether if this was real or not. The cub puts its paw out and tilt his head once again almost like it was agreeing that it was real. Tonight is going to be a very long night I thought to myself as I got on my bed keeping a safe distance from the wolf whose eyes were now closed.
