Eden's Pov

I was sitting besides Hailey on a chair in the hospital who was still  unconscious, her pale body even got paler. I was holding onto her small petite hand praying that she will wake up, I couldn't loose my mate when I just  found her. Luna in her stuff animal form was tucked in the blanket with her, it was past eight in the night and I was surprised that her father wasn't here yet, the doctor said she couldn't get hold of him. I tucked a stray strand behind her ear, my hand lingered on her cheek,I gently caressed her smooth pale skin.

"You need to wake up"

"you need to wake up for luna"

"you need to wake up for me"

I placed my head on the crook of her neck breathing in her scent, she smelled of vanilla and flowers, a very captivating scent. My tears lightly fell on her skin.

"You need to wake up my love"

A week after

I placed a rose in the vase of  water on the desk that was next to the bed Hailey was on. It's been a week and she still was in a coma, it became a routine for me everyday when I come to check up on her I will always bring a blue rose, the vase was full of them. Luna was being taken care of by my pack since they don't allow animals in the  hospital. I took my usual spot next to her bed and held her hand like I always do.

"Hey Hailey, you're probably wondering how luna is going, well she has plenty of new friends specially the  cubs,they are in love with her"

I squeezed her hand softly.

"I also came clean to my pack and told them I found my mate, they are very excited and wants to meet their future luna"

I squeezed her hand once again.

"Here is your daily reminder, I want you to remember that you loved and you will be loved by the pack and I, I found happiness in you and even though you are clueless to what's happening, I promise I will guide you and protect you"

I squeezed her hand for the last time.

A tear was now running down my cheek I swear I got more emotional when I found my mate. I stand up to leave but Hailey's hand held on to mines firmly giving it a weak squeeze. My head spinned around so quickly I swear I heard a snap, Hailey eyes flickered open but soon as it did it shut closed.

Hailey pov

I awoke to a bright light immediately making me shut my eyes, I opened them once again blinking repeatedly getting accustom to the light. The first thing I noticed was the hand that was gripping on to mine, the hand that always send shivers down my spine. I looked to see Eden staring right back at me, glee flooding his eyes with a little pinch of concern. He didn't even utter a word,he lean forward and wrapped his hands around my shoulder giving me a hug giving my whole body tingles. I couldn't hug him back because how weak I was.

"W-what....... happened?" my voice came out horse and weak but still audible. Eden noticed this and pick up a cup of water that was on the desk besides the bed and held it to my lips. I drank all of it.

Eden took a seat on the bed still holding onto my hand.

"Luna is alive, she's with my pack right now"

"oh, why would they kidnapped her?" this thought was lingering on my mind since the day in the park.

"Long story short, luna is a rare wolf, her blood can cure a lot of diseases"

I could understand that, a wolf stuff animal that could turn into an actual wolf.

"so they wanted to kill her"

Eden nodded.

"What happened to me?"

"They injected you with poison"

What did I do to deserve this?

"Where are they now?"

"In jail."

"Oh"

"I am going to call a doctor okay"

I nodded, Eden placed a kiss on top of my head making my pale cheeks flush with colour. As he walked out of the room I instantly felt cold, he was my warmth.

The doctors did some check ups on me saying I have to stay for one more night and I would be able to go home tomorrow. They said they couldn't get hold of my dad and trust me that was totally fine with me, I didn't want him anywhere around me. I had Eden.

Now it was only Eden and I in the room. I sat up on the bed preparing for the conversation I was going to bring up.

"Eden can you explain"

"Explain what?" he asked as he walked away from the window and took a seat on the chair.

"Explain to me what are you

"and what are we"
