Mate

It was the next day and I was just waiting for Eden to come out of the bathroom. Last night talk was- I didn't even know how to explain it. The conversation kept replaying in my mind.

Flash back ~

Eden took a seat on the bed making himself comfortable.

"This is going to get wild so listen carefully okay" he warned.

I just nodded.

"Yes werewolves do exist but we rarely live in the city, the forest behind your house is where my pack house is located, not to far away from the waterfall. The word 'mate' is what I first called you, all wolves have mates and you're mines,its pretty rare for wolves to have human mates but its possible. I am Alpha of the red moon pack that makes you the luna even though you are human. All mates have a bond and I know you feel it when I touch you, the bond grows stronger every time we touch each other. You're following right? "

" Y-Yes"

"When I mark you, you would officially become the Luna of Red Moon Pack, also when I mark you will have my scent"

"oh, so are we are like in a r-relationship?"

"Well we don't know much about each other, we could start off slowly if you want"

"yes I would like that"

"Good, now I think you need rest, my beta is coming to pick us up tomorrow and we will drop you home"

"Oh" my heart sank at this, I had to go back and face my demons.

"Are you okay?"

"yeah" I placed my head on the pillow as Eden got up from the bed.

"I am going to get some lunch, I will be back soon okay" he placed a kiss on my forehead.

Present~

"Hey are you ready?" asked Eden as he walks towards me holding out his hands for me to take.

"Yeah let's go"

We left the hospital and we were in the car. Eden introduced me to his beta Jackson he had black curly hair reaching is shoulders which I never saw any boys with before so the sight was surprising. The drive didn't last long we were now parked in front my house.

"I will drop you inside"

"No that's okay" No way I was going to let him see my dad

"why not? Come on" Eden came out of the car  from his side and open the door for me on my side. He intertwined his fingers in mine but I didn't cooperate.

"Sorry, its just comes naturally since you're my mate"  he removed his hands and scratched the back of neck.

"Its okay" I give him a light smile.

Even though Eden and I weren't dating as yet he still was special to me since he was the first person I talked to in a very long time other than my step father and I wouldn't blame him we were mates its just I didn't want to rush into anything.

I twisted the door knob and was instantly met with the scent of alchol. I looked up to Eden who scrunched is nose but he didn't turn back. He nudged me to go inside, the house lights were not on and as I step inside a groggy voice hit my ears.

"Who is that!" I automatically flinch at the tone of the voice.

My step father got up from his usual spot on the couch and started to walk towards me. I didn't even know if he notice Eden who stood right behind me but his eyes were only focus on  me.

"You bitch!" His hand was about to punch me in the face, I lean back on instinct but that's not what save me from getting hit. Eden blocked my body with his and grabbed my step father's hand before he could make contact with me.

"That's not the way you talk to your daughter sir" Eden's voice came out surprisingly calm which scared me even more.

"Hailey go upstairs now" I didn't need to hear it twice, as I ran up the stairs tears broke free.

I am so tired of this house its not even a home. I hate it, why did she have to leave me with this man what did she ever see in him. Why me.

I don't know how long I was on my bed sobbing for, a knock awaken me from the painful sobbing.

"Hailey it's Eden can you please open up"

I didn't make any move to get up from the bed, he came in any way. The bed sink when he got on it.

"Hey I know you will tell me everything when you are ready but now you have to start packing"

"Where are we going?" I managed to choke out.

"You're coming to live with me" My eyes widen at this. I shifted so I was now facing him.

"Really?"

"Yes really, now lets getting packing" he pulled me up in his arms and give me a tight hug which I am happily returned.

It didn't take long for me to pack since I hadly had clothes. Eden taking notice of this said he has a whole closet of clothes waiting for me back in the Pack house. We were now going downstairs Eden infront of my with a small hand luggage that my clothes was in. As I reached downstairs my eyes scans for my stepfather who was curdle up on the couch facing me he had a big scar next to his right eye and his cheeks were swollen. I shuddered at the sight, he didn't even made eyes contact with me.

"come on" Eden put his hands on my back ushering me outside.

I got in the car and looked at the house that I was no longer gonna step foot in. I only wished for a friend but I end up getting a better life, I was Eden's mate and future luna of Red Moon pack. The car was now in motion and not once I ever looked back.
