  "Are you ready yet?"
"Just a minute!"  I knew that Berry would practically explode if we waited another moment, so I was trying to get ready as fast as I could.  It still takes a while for people to get makeup perfect, but lucky for her, I was going for a natural look. My hair was in low pigtails that were resting on my shoulders.  I was wearing a white sweater over a black dress and was now completely ready.
If Berry wasn't waiting outside the bathroom door, I probably wouldn't have swung the door into her face.
  "What was that for?!"
"You wouldn't have gotten hit if you weren't standing in the way."

We laughed as we walked out of the car and toward the school.
"I'll stay here and wait for Mylo."
Within three minutes, Mylo walked past a street corner and into view.
  "Mylo!"
She saw me and ran towards me, wrapping her arms around my neck.  She and I held hands and walked inside. The butterflies in my stomach were fluttering nervously as we walked onto the dance floor, but I did my best to force them down.
"You look beautiful, as always, Gabi."
"So do you, Mylo."  We continued to waltz through the gymnasium, and then the DJ decided to play a love song.
It was then that I decided to work up the courage to ask her.  I forced the butterflies down as much as I could, and then I asked her.
  "Mylo?"
  "What is it?"
"I've been wanting to ask you something for a long time."
  "Go ahead."
"You've been so nice to me all this time, and you always make time for me, so I wanted to ask you…"
I took a deep breath as I bent down onto my knees.
"Mylo, will you be my girlfriend?"
  "Yes!"
I relished those moments forever, the ones when her lips touched mine, when her arms were around me, and there will be many more to cherish, so long as we are together.
