You're sat alone in the hotel room, bored as usual. They are reporting the same kinds of criminals, just as they always do, not even bothering to protect their identity. Although, this time there is something different, an announcement from a man named Lind L. Taylor,
"I head up an international police task-force, which includes all member nations. I am Lind L. Taylor, otherwise known as L."
Wow, this guy is either stupid or just incredibly brave.
He go's on to talk about a cereal killer who has been murdering criminals around the world. Kira. He seem's fairly overconfident, telling Kira that he will find him and bring him to justice, you just hope he is as good as he seems to think.
"What you're doing right now is evil."
He sat there, for about a minute, in silence, as if waiting for something to happen...
Suddenly, he gave a startling shout, clutching his heart in pain, and collapsed on his desk. Was he dead? He was, he was dead, Kira must have killed him. Two men dressed in smart, black suits came in to carry his body away. It looks as if Kira has won...
It looks that way, until the decorative initial of L appeared on the screen. A buzzing, high pitched voice came from the picture, the voice had a sort of surprised joy that you could hear even with the voice filter.
"I had to test this just in case, but I_I never thought it would actually happen."
It looks like Kira has been outsmarted. The voice explained how he had now figured out that Kira could kill without being there with the victim. Lind L. Taylor was a criminal, whose execution was scheduled for that day. L was not dead.
"Now, Kira. Try to kill me."
What was he doing? He had just proved that Kira could kill without being there and now he was provoking him? He'd be killed! But... He hadn't been killed, he was still alive.
"Well Kira, it seems you can't kill me after all."
L then went on to explain how the message with Lind L. Taylor had only been broadcasting in the contou region of Japan.
So, he's here in Japan. Kira is here.
L continued to taunt Kira. Was he crazy? Maybe he was just very smart, it certainly seemed that way.
"See you again soon, Kira." The broadcast ended and for a while you just sat there thinking how Kira must've been feeling at the moment.
This must be killing him, right now. To be so easily outsmarted by a seemingly overconfident stranger.
Maybe you were beginning to like this. No, not that people were being killed, but there is obviously some kind of battle going on between Kira and L. L, he seems so interesting, so different. It would be so fascinating just to talk to a person like that, but... but who is he? Surely a super genius like that can't possibly stay hidden for long without somebody noticing. To be honest, right now Kira doesn't seem that smart. He is impulsive, childish and arrogant. Does he think that he is so important that L would willingly show his face to the whole world? He is no match for L, Kira will be caught in no time.
I want to meet him.
You quickly turned on your laptop. It may be possible to find L if you can find the police connected to the Kira investigation. You found the names of fourteen officers in the ICPO.

Hopefully, some of these people will be working on the Kira case. If you could find the phone numbers of these people, maybe you could track them and maybe, they could lead you to L.
You managed to get the phone numbers of three of the people, along with some other information. The three people were Rin Nimishura, Binya Fujioka and Touta Matsuda. You were hoping that at least one of them would be working on the Kira case.
Finally, you managed to track down one of them, whose name was Touta Matsuda. Luckily, there was a hotel very nearby, so you checked out of the one you were in and got a room at the very front, with a window so that you could see his house clearly.
You had heard so many rumours that many police officers resigning from the Kira case, but it was obvious that something like that would happen when it was so likely they'd be killed. However, you had been doing some research into Matsuda's personality through social networking sights that he used and it looked as if he was the kind of person who wouldn't even think about the risks of investigating Kira. He would most likely have thought of it as a bit of fun.
At least, until this gets seriouss.
So, this was it. Your ticket to L was this person. You placed trackers on his car and made sure that if you rang his phone, you could track the signal and find out his whereabouts. Everyday he went to the same place, the police headquarters. Until that day. He left at the usual time, but went a completely different direction to the headquarters. This time he was heading towards a hotel on the other side of his town. You watched your screen as the red dot slowed to a stop, just outside of the building.
This is it. I better get going.
You knew that at some point, the police would have to get in real contact with L, and L could use their resources right now. The Kira case was different from anything this world had ever seen before, so maybe L would need their help.
You rushed and found the nearest taxi and got a ride to the hotel. It was probably the best ride of your life. The whole time, you were just thinking about meeting L. You didn't know why you were so happy, you didn't even know what he would be like, but something told you that you would like him.
You got to the hotel and it turns out you wouldn't need Matsuda's phone number. If you listened carefully enough, you could hear voices coming from the window about four feet above you. Maybe they weren't as smart as they seemed. Through the open window, you could just about hear what they were talking about. Kira...
So, what do ya think? Is it good or terrible? But, anyway... tell me what you think! Please vote and comment, I would love to hear what you have to say about it. Bye! :)
