Chapter Two: I'll Join You

Saturday, 9:00am (Aria's P.O.V)

I wake up. I eat, get dressed, brush my teeth and my now short hair with a red highlight. Then, I grab my bag, give my mom and dad a kiss and leave for Polish school. The sun is shining and I'm just glad I have my day light ring. I put it on a chain around my neck and tested at home to make sure that would work- which it did!

The walk from my house to Polish school is about 5 minutes and I walk past a very quiet neighborhood. The houses here are all out of brick, their shutters are closed and you only hear the trees swaying in the wind. It's always been like this- peaceful. Suddenly, someone pushes me. I fall forward onto my hands. Then the person kicks me over so that I'm laying on my back. It took me a second to recognize him. Jordan. He knelt down and smiled with his annoying smile at me.

"Well, if it isn't our descendent. Did you like the little trim I gave you? I mean, I was aiming for your neck but somehow I missed it" he says.

I push him away and get up. Then I draw my fangs at him and attempt to drink his blood. To bite him and drink until he runs dry and stiffens. As soon as I bite he pushes me away and tries to punch me but I duck. I kick him with my Dr. Martens in his shins. He drops down to his knees and I punch him. Then I run as fast as I can towards Polish school.

In the distance I can hear him yell out "You think you'll get away?". This sends flashbacks into my mind. I see myself as a little girl, running away, I'm in Poland. NO. I have to snap out of it. I can't have flashbacks of that. Not right now! I reach the building and open the door. I inhale and exhale loudly for a few seconds and calm myself down. Then, faking a smile I walk into class, where Aleks is already in her seat next to mine.

Sunday, 12:34am (Aria's P.O.V)

That night I don't go to sleep. I know he's coming back, David. And I need him. I need to tell him what happened, I need his support, I need him to help me gain allies. We need to kill Jordan and his wolf pack. I can't live in fear for the rest of my life. I also can't live the rest of my life with David mad at me. I have to apologize. Suddenly, I hear a knock at my window. I get up and open it. He doesn't say anything, he just comes in.

"Hi" I say.

"Hi" he says.

"I'm sorry about last night, I lied to you. I told you I'm in control and ended up killing that guy. I don't know what's wrong with me" I say.

"It's okay, this isn't your fault. Kate is your maker, you inherited her character traits when you changed into a vampire. It's nobody's fault but hers for changing you" he said.

"That explains a lot. So....we're okay?" I ask him.

"Yea, we're okay" he says.

I smile and kiss him. He kisses me back and then pulls away.

"I almost forgot, I brought you 2 blood bags again. This time, however, promise me, that you'll only drink one and then one tomorrow. You need to gain control. You can't be like Kate forever" he said.

"I promise" I tell him.

He hands me the bags and I put one under my bed. The second one I open and drink. I want more but that's not an option right now. When I promised him I won't drink both and develop some control, I also promised myself never to lie to him again.

"Done" I tell him and hand him the empty bag.

He smiles and kisses my forehead. After that I tell him everything. About how Jordan attacked me and that we need allies from Fang Club.

"You wanna go to Fang Club?" he says "That's not a good idea".

"Then how am I suppose to get allies? There's no other way, I can't stay indoors at night forever, or avoid Polish school" I tell him.

He nods and I go to change clothes.

1:02am (Aria's P.O.V)

We walked to Fang Club. It's not far, only 8 minutes walking from my house. When David opened the door, I took a deep breath in. The wolfs weren't there but that could change at any moment. The vampires all stopped what they were doing and it got terribly quiet.

I walked in slowly and they all bowed. I saw Lisa, she also bowed to me in the hallway. The only one standing was Kate. I was surprised to see her back. I knew why she didn't bow down. She was my maker, she was the reason everyone else was bowing.

"I have a proposal" I said. "I believe we can rid Fang Club of wolfs once and for all. However, I'll need help to accomplish this goal. Allies. If you join me, I'm willing to be your leader, Descendent, whatever it is you want me to be. We'll make this our club!"

Slowly, one by one they got back up.

"I'll join you" Lisa said.

This caused the others to join as well and before I knew it, I had a house full of allies. Even Kate said she'll join me. Having such a ruthless killer, who others in Fang Club trusted and obeyed on my side is definitely a huge advantage.

"Thank you!" I said to everyone and they all got back to whatever they were doing, but I knew they were all waiting for further information. How are we gonna do this? Will there be vampire casualties? Those were questions I didn't have answers to. Then the doorbell rang and Kate walked up to me.

"Right on time, we have a new vampire coming tonight. He just moved into the area with his family and we could tell he was a vampire, so we invited him over. Maybe he'll be an ally too" she said.

She opened the door and just like that all my flashbacks came rushing back because the person I saw was my brother.
