I picked up the book from my desk and gently stroked the worn black leather cover, my fingers stopped at the groves that made up two letters "H.G" after searching for weeks in newspapers and old books for weird occurrences, this H.G has given me all the answers in one place.

I pick it up and my fingers fumble and it drops open on my lap, a pair of eyes stair up at me from the page although they were drawn you can almost feel the primal rage rippling from the eyes of the werewolf on the page. I studied every inch of the drawing, the long rapier sharp claws, fangs sharp and ferocious but the worse part of the drawings was that it almost seemed like it could jump out the page and attack me.

I flipped to the beginning and reread the note by the author and an uneasy feeling filled my very core
" Hello reader, my name is H.G and you have found my book on the mysteries that befalls this town but fear not because this book explains how to protect yourself from the many things that haunt these pages. But remember that many people wont believe that they are real and will call you insane or the organisation that lurks in the shadows will try to silence you, remain vigilant and trust no one but yourself and this book." I muttered the words under my breath with a slight shudder at the last words.

A flash of light hit my window as a car rounded the corner with a faint rumble which called my attention and forced me to look out at the street and as my eyes gazed the roofs of the building and it could have been a trick of light and the book but I saw a pair of deep green orbs staring at me with a cruel intent, I shook my head and they were gone but it seemed to know that I caught a glimpse of it. Was it just my imagination or was there something watching me from the rooftops?

A week had passed since I had acquired the book and with each page brought a new horror that could be waiting to claim my soul, a slight tap on my shoulder brought me to my senses and I looked up into a well rounded face and deep green eyes that seemed familiar but then a soft voice asked a question while looking at me
"Hey, you seemed lonely and decided to see if you were Alright?"
My mouth opened and I stuttered the words closing the book and stuffing it in my bag then rubbing the back of my neck
"I-I-Im totally fine, just lost in thought and stuff"
The stranger offered a hand with a bark like laugh but I couldn't help but smile at this stranger as he introduced himself
"I'm Fenrir, but most people call me Fen. Have you been here long?"
I shook his hand and noticed that his nails were black and pointed but pushed the thought back,
"I'm Sam, yeah kinda but I miss the big cites" the thought of my home in the city brought a pang of sadness that hung in my chest as I looked outside the rain began it's slow bombardment of the people that walked outside and a faint look of fear had filled Fen's face as the sky grew blacker as each passing second as the last fine flacks of sunlight began to flicker and vanish, without another word fen began running towards the forest in a dead sprint as if his life depended on it.
