After getting P10, I park the car in the pit lane and get out. When I go to the Williams garage, everyone is cheering. I give a big hug to a lot of people.

Robert comes to congratulate me and I thank him.

Bahrein, quali

I had a poor performance on the Free Practice Three, but i hope i can have a better performance in Quali.

I get into the car and leave the garage for the first time. After the slow lap, I start my first hot lap.

Got awesome straight line speed and some good racing lines that made it better for cornering, but we still have a big downforce issue.

Sector 1 was quite good, got a P13. Sector 2 was horrible because there are so much corners! And Sector 3 is almost full-straights, so I got P11. At the end, P14.

"P14! Nice job, Charlotte." Says my race engineer, Lawrence

"Thanks, Lawrence. That was a nice session."

Going to Q2, the situation was good, I put on an awesome Sector 1 (P10), a nice Sector 2 (P12), but everything was brought to tears.

During the straight, I was behind Magnussen. I tried to overtake him (he was really slow) but he forced me off and destroyed my lap.

There wasn't time for another one.

"WHAT THE F*** IS MAGNUSSEN DOING? HE COMPLETELY F***** MY LAP!" I said, furious.

"I'm sorry, there isn't time for another one." Said my engineer.

"Unbelievable..."

Race day

I am starting on P15 after getting last in Q2 because of Magnussen...

The race starts and i overtake Kvyat with an excellent start and i get the better line into the first couple of corners, overtaking Ricciardo.

P13 was already good, but i need to get points for the team. Gasly got a terrible start and was into P12, so I just hunted him until the big straight in Sector 3.

My engine easily overpowered the poor Red Bull, and when he saw it, his eyes were already full of my rear wing. P12!

Perez was in P11. It was almost impossible to pass him, since our engines were equal and the Racing Point's aero is way better.

Checo was a really consistent driver but he went wide into Turn 1, giving me the chance to pass him.

And i did exactly that. Now I was in P11.

"So, we are doing Plan B."

Two-stop, that is.

I didn't agree with the strategy, but I followed it anyways. I kept doing my laps normally until I found Grosjean.

For my absolute luck, he hit Albon ahead and I got P9.

But the strategy hit me like a truck.

"Box! Box now!"

I go into the pits and put softs on.

Lap 29, i was doing a very nice stint on my soft tyres.

I was demoted to P12 because of pit stop, but i got back into P9 because of the better tyres.

But, when the tyres were in a good condition...

"Box! Box now!"

"But my tyres are still great!"

"We do our job, box now!"

I went into the pits.

Demoted to P12, i couldn't pass anyone because of the Medium compound.

I still got P10 because of the Renaults, but that's it.

Race ends.

"What a terrible strategy...we could have finished P8 or even P7 tonight. You know, you made such an early call when i was at the best conditions and temps. Ridiculous."

"Really sorry, Charlotte."
