Charlotte's Point of View

I am in the paddock now, waiting for the session start.

Suddenly, I see Ricciardo coming to me.

"Hiya! I just wanted to congratulate you for the good results. See you out there, on track." He said cheerfully.

"Ah, thanks. See you on the track." I spoke to him in a casual tone, making him smile.

Timeskip

Smiles all around in the garage: P8 in my first lap on the Q1.

In my second flying lap...well, what I can say is that it was actually flying.

I was slicing smoothly through the corners, at a very good pace.

Baku is a balanced track for us, but I was enlightened on this circuit.

But, I went from smiles to tears.

I was going to Turn 8. The castle section.

And then, in the braking point...

I lose the brakes.

I had very little time to panic, and went straight into the barrier at full speed.

Then, everything goes black.

Author's Point of View

Everyone in the garage was shocked with Charlotte's crash. The session was red flagged.

"Are you okay?" Asked the engineer on the radio.

For the panic of the Williams team, she didn't say anything.

The medical car went to Turn 8 and took Charlotte out of the car.

Even the other teams and drivers were really concerned.

Timeskip (Charlotte's POV)

I wake up in a hospital room. I think that crash made me black out.

Out of nowhere, someone opened the door.

And then, I saw Claire.

"We are really sorry, Charlotte. You had a brake failure. How are you?" She asked, with a concerned tone.

"I am fine. I have pain at my leg and neck, but I think it's nothing serious."

"Good. We will put Russell for this race, don't want to risk you."

"Understood."

A/N: End of chapter! What a chapter, huh? I feel sorry for Charlotte.
