NATHANIEL entered the penthouse to the sound of video game controllers clacking and gun shots being fired on the TV. A wave of nostalgia hit him as it reminded him of Freshman year when him and the guys would waste their lives away spending hours on some crappy shooting game.
Nathaniel ran over to the couch jumping on Eric, reaching for his controller, "Gimmie!" he shouted as he snatched the controller out of Eric's hand.
"Man, come on! Me and Josh were just double teaming that guy." A hint of annoyance coated Eric's words. Nathaniel ran his finger down his cheek mimicking a tear, he knew Eric would get over it.
"Joshua, I think you should give Nate one of your world famous punches ... right in the sweet spot." Eric said bitterly. Joshua paused the game and held up his hands, clicking his tongue repeatedly.
"Nope, I'm done throwing punches before I end up in England again." Joshua joked, although a part of him was scared that if he acted out again he'd be sent back to England permanently, or wherever his parents decided to ship him off to.
"Eric just get another controller, I'm pretty sure you could certainly afford one." Nate said.
"Yeah but do I want to wait 3-5 business days or do I want to use the controller I have right now?"
"You're rich enough, you can do express shipping, get it in one day max." Nate shot back, patting Eric on his cheek.
"Yeah I think I'm gonna punch you right now." Eric threatened.
Nate backed away, his eyes filled with fear as he slowly stood up from the couch and dropped the controller on one of the cushions, "Now now, there's no need to do that."
Eric gave him a cocky nod, letting him know he made the right decision to not mess with his video games. "Good thinking, Princess."
Taking turns playing video games for 2 hours, the guys were starting to get bored and their thumbs sore.
"Can't we take your private jet to like, I don't know, Prague? I'm bored." Nate dragged out as he played with his tousled curls on his head.
"Do you want my dad to go into cardiac arrest? If I go anywhere near his 'baby' he might kill me." Nathaniel laughed at Eric's response, he found humor in how almost all their parents cherished their planes, and houses, more than their own children sometimes.
"Why don't we call up the girls? It's Saturday night and we got nothing better to do. I also go back to East Bridge on Monday so let's cherish my freedom." Joshua was internally crying as he realized he had to go back to school, although he missed the people he went to school with since they didn't have weird accents and he was getting sick of seeing preppy guys in ties.
"Shit, I forgot we all go back on Monday. Why did Winter Break have to end, man." Eric added, his voice cracking at the end causing for Joshua and Nathaniel to make eye contact with each other and burst out in laughter. Eric covered his face with a cushion to hide the redness that crept up on his face.
