Chapter X: Middle of the Night

I ended up ditching school because of Changkyun. We went to his home and dried our clothes. We just stayed there until the night comes.

As the moon rises, we went back to the open field (since it stopped raining) and laid down to look at the stars. Laying next to each other, hand in hand, we watched the night sky as I hear the howling of the wolves.

"Do you remember that bastard who tried to rape you?" Changkyun randomly asked making me look at him.

"Of course...I'll never forget him. He's so damn creepy. Why did you asked though?" I answered then asked back.

"He's dead"he simply said.

"D-did you k-kill him?" I stuttered.

"Yup. He is actually part of my pack but since he touched what's mine, I killed him" he replied. It's like he just killed a mosquito and told me.

"You know, I think it's alright that Minhyuk left because if he didn't, he's probably dead by now" I joked and giggled.

"What can I do? Wolves are possessive and territorial. I will kill anyone who dares to steal you" he replied and pecked my nose.

"How about Jongsuk? Do you have any news about him?" I asked making his aura change.

"I have no any news about that asshole. The wolves of my pack also said that they haven't seen him for a while. I think he's planning on a surprise attack that's why I should be ready. You should also be more careful. There are times that I won't be there for you"he explained.

"Promise me that you will protect yourself and be safe"he added making me smile.

"Well, I can't promise that since I don't know what danger Jongsuk will bring but I will try my best to protect myself"I replied as he smiled back.

"Now let's stop talking about him and let's just enjoy the night"I added as I sat up. Changkyun did the same. He put his hand on my cheek, smiling as he leaned in and we shared a short kiss.

"I didn't know what I did to deserve an amazing girl like you" he said and continued kissing me.

This moment is priceless. Being with someone I love under the night sky. Enjoying each other's presence. Holding each other's hands. And kissing in the middle of night...
