Chapter XVI: Unfair Love

Third Person's POV

Jeongin went back to his normal form as his foe is in the ground, unconscious. He got a few wounds in his body but he can still fight. He decided to find Eunsoo in the woods and continue protecting her. He roamed in the woods and since wolves has a great sense of hearing, he heard a female's voice say...

"P-pl-please...l-let me l-li-live"

"No! It's noona!"He exclaimed and turned himself into a wolf. He ran into the forest and tried searching the owner of that voice.

"Changkyun-ah...I love you..."

He heard again and the sound of someone's breathing slowly stopping. He ran faster and saw his foe, killing Eunsoo. He quickly bit the neck of the wolf who died instantly. He, once again, went back to his normal form and carried Eunsoo in his arms.

"No...no...no! Noona! Wake up!" Jeongin chanted repeatedly, hoping that Eunsoo will wake up. But she didn't. Jeongin ran fast and went to the hospital.

"Help! Please help!" Jeongin shouted. The paramedics and the nurses quickly took Eunsoo from him and took her in the Emergency room.

Meanwhile, Minhyuk who is standing just a few meters away from Jeongin, saw how the paramedics took her body away. He quickly went to Jeongin.

"Yah! What happened?! Who are you and why are you carrying Eunsoo's body?! What happened to her?! Why does she have a lot of wounds?!" Minhyuk bombarded the wolf.

"I am Changkyun hyung's friend. Eunsoo noona is hurt because hyung's enemy hurted her"Jeongin explained briefly.

"Why would Changkyun's enemy hurt her?!"Minhyuk asked again.

"Because that's his way of killing my hyung. He already harmed noona before but it's worse today. He almost killed noona"

"I knew she wasn't safe with Changkyun! I never should've left her!" Mihyuk told himself, regretting leaving Eunsoo behind.

"Leave! And tell Changkyun to never go near Eunsoo again!" Minhyuk ordered Jeongin. Jeongin left quickly amd went back to the woods. The woods where Jongsuk coughed blood and smirked.

"I told you Jongsuk, you are no match for me" Changkyun said as he walked closer to Jongsuk. He was about to kill him when Jeongin arrived.

"Hyung! Noona is in the hospital! Also...one guy who seems close to noona told me that we should never get close to noona again!" Jeongin announced making Changkyun amd the rest of his pack look at him.

"I think it's Minhyuk...but don't listen to that guy. I'm Eunsoo's boyfriend, not him" Changkyun replied.

"Now, let's get back to business shall w-" he added as he adverted his gaze back to Jongsuk, but when he did, Jongsuk and his pack are no longer in his sight.

"Look at what you did, Jeongin" Kihyun nagged.

"It's alright Kihyun...I will just kill him someday. Now let's go to the hospital" Changkyun said and they all went to the hospital.

Meanwhile...at the hospital...

"Yes, Mr. Jung. Don't worry, I'll take good care of your daughter while you're on your way here. May God bless you too sir, ma'am. Have a safe trip!" Minhyuk talked to the other line. He told Eunsoo's parents, who are in the America, about what happened to their daughter.

Minhyuk put his phone back on his pocket and leaned in the wall. The doctor then went out of Eunsoo's room as Minhyuk blocked his way.

"Excuse me doc, is Eunsoo alright?" He asked worriedly.

"Are you perhaps related to the patient?" The doctor asked.

"Yes...I'm her friend. Her parents are in America that's why I'm in charge of taking care of her"

"Well then, Ms. Jung is still sleeping. She's stable now. It's surprising that she still survived despite of her condition. She has a lot of wounds, both deep and not, a broken rib, a severe trauma in the head, and she lost a huge amount of blood. But, because of the trauma, there might be a possibility that she will have an amnesia" The doctor explained.

Minhyuk only nodded and thanked the doctor before entering the room. There, to his surprise, he saw Eunsoo being fully awake. She is lying weakly on the hospital bed with bandages and stitches on her body.

"Oh...you're awake" Minhyuk said and sat on the hospital bed, facing Eunsoo.

"Wh-who are y-you? Wh-who am I-I?" Eunsoo stuttered as she looked around. Minhyuk was shocked at first but he remembered what the doctor said,

'But, because of the trauma, there might be a possibility that she will have an amnesia'

Minhyuk smiled and told her things that will make her forget Changkyun. Speaking of Changkyun, he and his pack is standing outside Eunsoo's room. He was about to twist the doorknob and see his love, but it already opened, revealing Minhyuk.

"Oh...you're here" was the only thing Minhyuk said. Changkyun grabbed his collar and said,

"Step aside and let me see her"

"I won't let you!" Minhyuk replied as he pushed Changkyun.

"Who are you to stop me?! I am her boyfriend! Me, not you!" Changkyun shouted.

"Who cares if you are her boyfriend?! She has now the chance to live a normal life without getting hurt by your enemy! She has now the chance to start again!" Minhyuk shouted back.

"What do you mean by that?" Jooheon (who is also a part of Changkyun's pack) asked.

"She has an amnesia because of a severe trauma. Now, she can live without the risk of dying because of you! Just admit it Changkyun! She is not for you!" Minhyuk explained making Changkyun step back.

"He's lying!" Jeongin said.

"Lying huh? Go ahead and ask the doctor. I'll just go back inside. Eunsoo needs me" Minhyuk said and pointed the doctor who is walking away, before heading back to Eunsoo's room, leaving the shocked wolf.

Changkyun quickly went to the doctor and grabbed his shoulder.

"The patient...Jung Eunsoo...is it true that she lost her memory?" Changkyun asked, expecting for a "no".

"Well, yes...she lost her memory. It's because of the severe trauma she had. Her head must've hit hardly. Now, if you may excuse me, there are patients waiting for me" The doctor quickly replied and left.

Changkyun did nothing but to kneel down on the floor...staring at nothing. He is so shocked about the news. Eunsoo doesn't remember him anymore. All of their memories together are gone...turned into nothing but dust. Kihyun walked closer to him and held his shoulder.

"You should go there and tell her everything. You can take her back. Come on, you are her lover. You'll win her heart again" he said softly, trying to comfort their leader.

"No...Minhyuk is right...she should live a better life. Eunsoo should live a normal life...without me. I can't give her a normal life. She will just continue being hurt if I love her...I think...I should let her go" Changkyun said and left his pack in the hospital. He ran as fast as he can, as far away as he can...thinking...why is love so unfair...
