Dowoon's eyelids fluttered open as the guy struggled to see through the blur of sleep. The sunlight was seeping through the curtains, bathing the room in soft, yellow colors. It took a few moments but finally coming to his senses, Dowoon noticed that his door was open and a familiar figure was standing over him.

"Wake up, you sleepyhead~"

The gentle voice made Dowoon's lips curl into a smile as he closed his eyes again, burying his face into his fluffy pillow.

"C'mon, just let me rest a bit more, we've got nothing going on today..." He yawned. His mattress shifted, causing him to look up from his pillow. Wonpil was now sitting next to him. The guys' eyes met as they stayed still for a few moments, just gazing at each other.

Wonpil reached his arm out and carefully ran his boney fingers through the younger boy's messy hair, trying to fix a strand which was sticking up in the air. Dowoon felt his cheeks warming up as he buried his face back into his pillow, not wanting to show his reaction to the other's affectionate action.

"That's exactly why you gotta wake up, I wanna do something fun..." Wonpil whined, tilting his head to the side. Almost like a puppy, with his pleading eyes, the guy could get anything he wanted from the other. Dowoon couldn't take it. Of course he wouldn't say no to those sparkling, deep colored orbs.

"Aishhh, alright, I'm awake." He huffed, finally sitting up. This is good. If they hang out, he would get a chance to talk to Wonpil and hopefully have time to confess. Struggling to remember the confession plan his exhausted brain had tried to come up with the night before, he decided that hanging out first would be the best option after all.

"Okay! Get ready then." Wonpil threw his friend a sweet smile before getting up and heading out of the room. Dowoon rubbed his warmed up face, cursing under his breath. If Wonpil's simple action like brushing his hair could make the younger blush this way, the confession stood no chance of going smoothly. Dowoon would die of embarrassment and just make things awkward between himself and his long-time crush.

Shaking the anxious thoughts off, the male quickly got out of bed and stretched his weak from sleep body, letting out a satisfied sigh.

"Wonpil, I've always wanted to tell you this..." Dowoon sighed as he stared at himself in the bathroom mirror, shaking his head. A few more useless attempts to put together at least one good sounding sentence followed.

"I can't say it like that." He finally gave up. Spending the last twenty minutes staring at himself, trying to come up with the right words to express his feelings, he has come to nothing. Not a single phrase that has left his mouth was even remotely close to what he was trying to say. 'Why am I so bad with words...' He smacked his own cheeks in frustration before quickly turning around and opening the bathroom door.

"Wonpil, I'm ready!" He called out, wondering where the guy was.

"You two aren't even asking us if we wanna go with you? Are you just being assholes or is this a date?~" A teasing voice came from one of the bedrooms, followed by squeaking of rubber slippers against the wooden floor. Soon enough a brown-haired guy appeared in the doorway, giving Dowoon a grin. He was still wearing his flannel pajama pants and looked like he had woken up not too long ago.

"Brian, I'm sorry to tell you last minute but we're actually fleeing the country. Sorry bro, we're just so done with your bullshit-" The younger guy dramatically shook his head. A second figure popped up from behind Brian, causing Dowoon to raise a questioning eyebrow. "Wait, you two slept together?" He said jokingly, successfully trying to lead the conversation away from his and Wonpil's 'date'.

"Yeah, I wasn't gonna sleep on the couch all night." Jae responded, sleepily resting his chin on Brain's shoulder. The serious response caught Dowoon off guard.

"Don't you have your own bed for that..?" The guy asked in confusion, not expecting the events to take such a sudden turn. He didn't think the two would actually share a bed.

"Brian's bed is more comfy-"

"How many times do I have to tell you?? Stop calling me Brian, you doofus!" The brunet turned around and playfully pushed Jae. The sleepy guy gripped onto Brian's shirt, seemingly ready to fight. Moments later the door was shut, rustling and laughter coming from the room.

Left alone and completely confused, Dowoon heard someone coming from the other side of the hallway. His head popping in the direction of which the sound was coming from, he finally saw Wonpil.

"Sorry, I couldn't find my phone. I accidentally threw it in my laundry basket last night." He explained with an awkward chuckle which made the younger guy's heart skip a beat. He responded with a quick shrug.

"It's alright, let's go before those two do something weird again."

Wonpil gave Dowoon a questioning look but the guy just shook it off, not wanting to get into the details.

"I was thinking we could check out that ice cream shop two blocks down from here, how about that?"

"Ice cream for breakfast? Hell yeah~" Wonpil responded, his voice filled with excitement as he clapped his hands together. He really was like a child, just happy to spend the day off with his friend, eating ice cream first thing in the morning.

"Last to reach the shop, gets to pay for the both of us!" Dowoon announced once he was done double knotting his shoelaces. Both guys sprinted out of the apartment, determined to make the other pay for their sweet breakfast.
