CHAPTER 3

   Adena's POV
"Hello Steph thanks for accepting to help us I really don't know how to repay you back." I said those words with utmost sincerity which I have never done before to any of Cate's friends. Steph was Cate's first class friend but she agreed to help us I don't know how but I will ask Kay later. Now let's focus on helping my bro from that Delilah.

"Don't even mention it Ade, anything for you. I am ready to help😌." She said with a sweet smile which made me change my mind about Steph.

"Hey bro,"  I said as I joined my brother and her 'date' realizing that the table was set for three. I wondered who was the third person but never mind I am here on a mission. I could see shock on my brother's face and anger on Cate's.

You may wonder why there are no paparazzi everywhere but you should know that dad restricted them and asked them stay away from his family did I forget to mention that dad never wanted to involve us in politics oh yeah he never.

"Ade, what is the meaning of this, whatever, order what you want. And please don't cause any trouble." He added with a smirk.

At the corner of my eye I could see Cate smiling genuinely for the first time. I felt anger and betrayal overcrowd me but I never allowed them to dictate my next move. As if I wasn't there Ced and Cate started feeding each other and right in front of me they were sucking faces.

I intentionally poured my drink on Cate's evening gown pretending it was an accident.

"What the hell is this you bit- " I couldn't not let her finish the sentence before I interfered.

"Who the heck do you think you are you idiot." I protested. Get the hell away from my brother or else-"

"Or else what?, Or else what princess you just destroyed my dates and you are giving warnings!!!" Ced interrupted with venomous voice.

I couldn't help it but burst out crying.
"Ced this girl is not right for you she just followed you for fame please bro just forget her let go home."

"And you think I should be with you instead sis, oh I see you are trying to keep me away from all those who care about me." Cedric defended.

"Bro just give me a chance to show you what I mean. I really care about you and your heart. Today as I was getting ready to watch your game I overheard this slut say that she doesn't love you but she's with you for fame."

I saw hurt on my brother's face. I was thanking God that he was believing me but I couldn't help it when all over a sudden that dounchbag  decided to speak. After she had recovered from her shock.

"Oh Ced that's not true, I really do love you just believe me my love. You have to believe me I can't help staying away from you. Oh Ced please please don't leave me. Besides there is no evidence." Cate said.

" Why should I believe you sis, by the way where is the evidence? I need you to clarify this."Cedric demanded.

I snapped my fingers and both Kay and Steph appeared out of nowhere. I expected Steph to speak but what she did gave me a shocking experience. Slowly she took her phone from her jeans pocket and started a tape on there conversation in the washrooms. It started with Cate ordering them around and the rest followed.

My brother was in a miserable state he couldn't take it any more tears started streaming out of his eyes. I couldn't stand and watch this as Cate was holding my brother's leg pleading for forgiveness. That marked the end of their relationship and Steph joining I and Kay.
******End of flashback*********

I stepped down from my bed seeing the rays of sunlight occupying the city.
I remember today I would be starting my senior year while my brother would be completing. I rushed to the bathroom took a shower, went to my closet picked a pair of black skinny jeans and a white  polo shirt, a black leather jacket and a pair of white snickers.

I went down the stairs where mom, dad and bro were waiting for me. They all were ready to start there most important meal of the day. Like always my sandwich and hotdog were  properly packed in my lunch box.

"What took you so long baby?" Mom asked with her ever smiling face which emphasized the beauty of the gap between her front teeth.

We took our breakfast together which was my mom favorite dish that is hot chocolate and a toast. Dad and mom waved us goodbye and we headed to Ced's silver limo. Ced had promised me a ride for the new year as a senior student.
