Luke's POV
I walked through the front door, the stench of alcohol and drugs hitting me like a freight train. The house was completely humid, even though it was about midnight, the teens dancing and sweating only adding to the heat. I start walking around inside, getting pushed around by smelly intoxicated teens. I mumble a "no thanks" every 5 seconds, turning down everyone who offers me a red solo cup filled with who knows what type of alcohol. I keep bumping into people, but I still manage to mutter a quick "sorry", the person I bumped into not even acknowledging me. Why did I even come? Oh yeah, because Michael's girlfriend, Alison, invited him. Don't get me wrong, I love Alison, we all do. She's like my sister. And Michael, not seeing her in almost 7 months, of course agreed, which proceeded in him dragging the whole band here. Calum and Ashton didn't mind, they wanted to let loose and enjoy the night after being on tour for so long. Meanwhile, I wanted to go home and sleep, maybe do a follow spree in honor of our flight landing safely or something, seeing as we've only been back in Sydney for a couple hours. Anything to have a reason to stay home. Of course, the boys had other ideas for me this summer, which includes dragging me to every sweaty house party we get invited to. The boys have long left me though to go do who knows what, but knowing them, Ashton's with old friends, Calum's trying to get lucky, and Michael's with Alex. I decide to go step outside, even though I've only been in here for about 20 minutes. I turn around, trying to head back in the direction I came. It quickly becomes difficult, seeing as the amount of people in the small living room has doubled. I mutter out more apologies, pushing the careless intoxicated teens out of my way. They don't mind, they know it comes with the environment. After shoving people for about 5 minutes, I catch sight of a large door. I walk as quick as I can to it (seeing as there's still a shitload of people in the way), and throw it open.
"This room is occupied!!" A petite red head screams at me. She's laying on top of a guy, thankfully both of them seem fully clothed.
"S-sorry." I say, for what seems like the millionth time.
"Babe, calm down" says the boy underneath her. "Woah, wait, is that Luke?" the guys head pops out. It's no other than Ashton. "Luke, man! How's the party?!" He asks, oblivious to the fact that I probably just interrupted something.
"It's okay, I'm gonna go now." I answered him, turning around back to the door.
"Alright bro, enjoy the party!" I hear him yell as I shut the door. I lean against the wall. How did I even end up here?
"So I see you've met April." a voice yells behind me, almost being drowned out by the music. I turn around and my jaw almost drops. I see a girl, about 5'7 with long brown hair. Her skinny jeans and All Time Low tank top stand out from the girls surrounding us wearing cocktail dresses.
"Is this your first party? You look really uncomfortable." she asks, and for a second I think she's going to mock me as I slowly nod my head.
"Overwhelming isn't it? Here, follow me." She extends her hand and I gladly take it, she starts weaving through the people and they seem to move for her, unlike when they were practically trampling me. The people start fanning out and I finally see the large red door that I walked through in the beginning of the night. She opens it, and a rush of cold air hits me, causing me to shiver through my thin flannel. I look down at our still intertwined hands. She notices and lets go, my hand suddenly missing the warmth.
"Sorry" she quickly says.
"It's fine. Thanks for helping me back there." I say to her.
"No problem, um.." she trails off, not knowing my name.
"Luke" I finish the sentence for her.
"Well Luke, nice to meet you. I'm Andrea."
