I got up and did what I usually did every morning but this time when I was finished all my chores I took whiskey out of the pasture and tied the lead rope on a hook outside the stable. I ran into the stable and grabbed his brushes and took them outside to we're whiskey was waiting patiently I brushed him down making sure his fur was going the way it grew I combed out his mane and tail which was in a mess and picked his hoofs out he nicked at me and I laughed and said "I'm gonna get your saddle I'll be back ok pal" he picked up his right leg and put it down as if he was mad and looked at me with his blue eyes. I patted his shoulder and went to get his saddle, bridal and neon boots when I went back out he lifted his head and stomped down his right back leg,I pulled him back putting his things on the ground.when he was settled enough I started by putting his grey, white and black patterned saddle pad on,and fixed it on his back. I then lifted his saddle on his back, when it landed on his back he moved a bit from the sensation of it being there I let him settle and fixed the pad into the saddle.after I was done I strapped the saddle up and around his belly,I made sure it was tight but whiskey didn't seem to like it because he was moving around and nickers left his mouth. I hushed him and continued when I was done with the saddle I bit his neon green boots on him and strapped them on. I stood up a unclipped his halter letting it fall around his neck and strapped it loosely, I held the bit in my palm and put it up to his mouth easing it up in there. When he accepted it I pushed it up and got his ears in the forehead strap after I relaxed, while whiskey was chomping on the bit. I fixed the chin strap and the lip strap and unclipped the halter letting it fall to the ground, I turned whiskey around leading him away from the stable. Strong hoof beats following behind me as he whips his tail back and forth in swift movements I halted him in front of the trail, fixed the reins and walked to his side putting my outside foot in the stirrup and lifted myself on top. He moved around a little while I fixed myself in the saddle and halted him in the spot and patted him on the shoulder as he flicked his tail again. I lightly kicked my heels into him as he got the signal to move he went forward walking in a light speed. I clicked my tongue and fixed his reins in one hand relaxing as we went into the trail the warm air felt good with the light breeze blowing mine and Whiskeys hair. We walked for a while until I wanted him to canter for a little bit, so I dug my heels and made a kissing sound he got the idea and fixed his speed one hoof, two hoof ,one hoof, two hoof was the sound that filled the air I then calmly said 'woah Whiskey'. He went to his walk without a hassle and we went our way, went into rivers with the sounds of water splashing he shook his mane with water going everywhere. I laughed and brushed my hair back with my free hand as we exited the trail I patted him on the shoulder. I hopped off and untracked him putting him back in his stall and giving him lunch.
Horse sense is the thing a horse has which keeps it from betting on people.
