"Dilaudid?" I ask frantically. "Are you sure? I mean, Spencer's talked to me about everything pertaining to his past addiction, and he promised he wouldn't ever ever abuse it again."

"He said he has no idea how it got there," Morgan adds. "He's seemed okay the past few days. What would have made him start taking it again?" Everyone's eyes land on me.

"He's been fine," I say, feeling my phone in my pocket. It's now or never. You have to tell them about the texts, my thoughts scream at me. "I have an idea what-" All of a sudden, Hotch's Rossi's, and JJ's phones starts ringing. They all answer with confusion.

"I've got Cruz on the line," JJ says. She puts it on speakers.

"Agents!" Cruz yells. We all lean in closer. "We have a situation."

"What's wrong?" Hotch replies, turning his attention off of me and onto our Section Chief.

"There's a man who just called, saying he would be coming to headquarters with a gun. He wants to talk to Agent Gates," he says. I can feel my face turn white, and I know I'll faint if I don't get ahold of myself. "I know you're in Boston right now, but can you fly back immediately? We don't want anyone getting hurt, and the best way to ensure that is if Gates is here to talk to him."

"Of course," Hotch replies. "We're on our way." He turns to the head officer. "I'm so sorry, but we have an emergency back at the bureau. We'll be back as soon as we can."

"That's alright, we can handle here and keep searching the crime scenes for clues," he says, nodding at the door.

"Thank you," Rossi says, before turning to Emily. "Prentiss, call Reid. Tell him he needs to get back to the jet in 10 minutes."

"Calling right now," she responds, pulling out her cell and dialing the number.

"C'mon, we have to hurry," Hotch says. "It won't take long to get back, but we don't want to miss him and find out people got hurt because we weren't there." We run out and hurry into the cars, speeding away towards the airport.

"Reid is on his way," Prentiss says. "He didn't get far without a car. He's taking a cab to the airport." Hotch nods and focuses on the road.

The flight only takes 30 minutes, but as soon as we land, Hotch's phone rings. He puts it on speaker.

"Agents, he's here and in the lobby," Cruz yells. "He's got a gun. There are agents surrounding him, but he just keeps demanding to see Gates."

"We just landed, Cruz," Hotch says. "We'll be there in 10 minutes." He hangs up and slips into the driver's seat of one of the cars. "Derek, drive the other car and follow close behind."

"Got it," he says, jumping in the other car. The rest of us climb in. I notice Reid doesn't get in the car with me. Rossi sits next to me in the back, and he turns to give me advice.

"I know you haven't faced someone like this in awhile, but I hope you remember what to do," Rossi says. I nod hesitantly.

"Just try to keep him calm. Let him talk, don't point any kind of weapon at him," Morgan includes. "If he means no harm, he'll say what he has to say. Then we'll take him into custody to find out who exactly he reports to."

"And if he does mean to hurt us?" I ask.

"Then we'll be ready with agents lining every corner to shoot if needed," Morgan says. I take a deep breath as the car stops in front of the entrance to the BAU. The other agents get out of their car, and I hear someone yell "Reid!", but I ignore it. I open my door, and head to the lobby. A man stands in the middle of the room with a gun pointed at everyone. He lays his eyes on me, and fixates his glare, slowly walking towards me. I hold up my hands, showing I have no gun on me, while the rest of my team whips out theirs.
