First Day

You feel excited. Seeing old friends, making new ones, and maybe even getting some new school supplies for the year. You hope you'll get a class with at least one of your friends, but even that is a rarity. Joy fills your body being able to have something to do with your time, instead of just staying in doing nothing like you had done the majority of your summer. The bell rings. You go to your first class and meet your teacher for the year. They're nice, but now you can only hope the rest of the teachers are as good as them. You push the thought aside when the rest of your teachers seem okay.

It is time for lunch. You have almost forgotten how noisy and crowded it was in the Cafeteria. Almost. You run around and find your friends, or if you aren't as lucky as others to have friends, somewhere else to sit. Maybe it was your first day at a new school and nobody came up to you and asked for you to sit with them like in the shows and movies you've watched.
