Kang is a relatively common surname. STAY knew how much Taeha fangirled over Kang Seulgi, she loved knowing they had the same surname.

ATINY were the same; Kang Yeosang shared his surname with a few other idols, including Kang Taeha, so the idea never ever formed that there could be more to it.

Until Stray Kids and ATEEZ appeared on Weekly Idol together.

"Step out! Hello we're Stray Kids!"

"Eight makes one team! Hi, we're ATEEZ!"

Taeha was excited, she was never a fan of Weekly Idol when Doni and Coni were hosts, they were far too exuberant and a bit insensitive for her liking, but she liked Kwangsoo-sunbae and Shinyoung-sunbaenim a lot. She glanced at ATEEZ and giggled quietly before stepping forward to introduce herself.

"Hello, I'm Stray Kids vocal-visual-noona-saeng Kang Taeha!" She said with a salute. Kwangsoo looked confused as Stray Kids sniggered. "I am the vocal plus the visual plus a noona and a dongsaeng." She explained. "So vocal-visual-noona-saeng!" She stepped back into line as the introductions continued.

The first section of the show was to mix up the groups and create pairs. Jeongin ended up as the Judgement Fairy due to the odd numbers but everyone was split up.

Chan ended up with Jongho as the Muscle Pair, Lee Know and Wooyoung made the Sexy Pair, Hyunjin and Yunho were the Giant Pair, Jisung went with Seonghwa to make the Double Trouble Pair, Felix and Mingi made up the Deep Voice Pair, Seungmin and San were some sort of unholy alliance waiting to happen, Changbin ended up with Hongjoong to make God Tier Rappers and Taeha partnered with Yeosang to create Kang Squared.

"Before the official competition starts, please reveal one mutual fact about your pair." Shinyoung instructed. "You could both like a colour, or favourite food or know a dance. You have ten seconds to decide! Go!"

Taeha and Yeosang immediately raised their hands to indicate they had a fact, Hyunjin and Yunho just behind them. Jisung and Seonghwa reacted a few seconds later.

"Okay, Kang Squared! Taeha and Yeosang, please reveal your fact!"

The two clasped hands before Taeha jumped on Yeosang's back and posed.

"Our mutual fact is that we are related!" Taeha exclaimed. "Yeosang and I are cousins!"

"EHHH?!?!" Stray Kids and the majority of the production team exploded in shock.

Taeha frowned and claimed off Yeosang to point her finger at her bandages.

"What are you guys doing reacting like that! How did you not know that?" She huffed. "I was literally on the phone with him last week talking about this! Jisung and I even went to their debut so I could see him! Wow." The hosts and ATEEZ burst into laughter at Taeha's tantrum over her members clueless behaviour. She huffed and stormed off, pulling Yeosang over behind Seonghwa to sulk.

And that is how STAY and ATINY (and Stray Kids) found out about Kang Squared.

StrayTEEZ became a new fandom name all on their own.
