"Nervous?"

Jeno asked which took Jaemin's attention. The boy was fidgeting with his fingers while looking out of the window of the car. Jaemin shook his head.

"Why did you ask? Why would I be nervous in an acquaintance ball?" Jaemin asked back, chuckling after.

Jeno held his small hand and kissing the palm of it, which made Jaemin blush.

"Doesn't this look like we just got married?"

Well, they were wearing matchy black tuxedos.

The boy's face became red like a tomato and retrieved his hand, "N-No!"

Before Jeno could even say something, their driver spoke.

"We're here, Sir Lee."

Jeno sighed, "Okay. I'll call if you need to pick us up."

The driver nodded before both men stepped out of the vehicle. Jaemin closed the door and when he turned, he saw how elegant the venue was. He was staring the building until Jeno stood beside him and offered his arm for Jaemin to hold on to. Jaemin looked at the man and just smiled before clinging on the arm and walked together.

The red carpet beneath their feet felt like they were in oscars. People were even looking at them--maybe only on Jeno. It just made Jaemin's eyebrows to furrow.

"What's with the eyebrows, sweetheart?" Jeno whispered as they walked into the venue with people dancing and talking to others.

"Don't even think about dancing with anyone."

The man raised an eyebrow, entertained by Jaemin's reaction. He just chuckled. His hand slides down to hold onto the small one and leaned closer to the boy's ear.

"I'm all yours."

Jeno smiled at him and Jaemin stared at his eyes. He suddenly felt lost. Those words just made Jaemin's heart to beat so fast. Jeno has always been the person who loves sweet talks, and Jaemin would be lying if he didn't like it.

"Hey, Jaemin!"

Jaemin looked away and saw Renjun with the others walking towards them. Jeno's hand slipped away and slides around Jaemin's waist to pull the boy closer.

"Hey, guys! I like you all to meet Jeno," Jaemin said.

Jeno hands out his hand, "Lee Jeno, his suitor."

The boy slapped the man's chest and clicked his tongue.

"Ah, hi, I'm Renjun. Nice to finally meet you," the boy said and shook hands with Jeno, "This is Donghyuck, Mark, Jisung and Chenle."

"Jaemin has been talking about you all the time," Donghyuck said, exposing his friend. Jaemin just widened his eyes at him.

"Ah, yes, he really does. So, we really want to meet the guy Jaemin's been talking about since he had the work," Renjun added.

Jeno smirked, "Really? What does he say about me?"

Renjun was about to talk but Jaemin decided to cut it and dragged them to a table for them to seat on. Even though Jaemin was happy for his friends to finally meet Jeno, he still couldn't believe they're finally exposing him. He shouldn't really talk about anything to his friends, ever again.

The car arrived infront of the building. The door was opened by the driver for both men to go inside. They were tired and one had too much of champagne.

Jaemin goes into the car. He held Jeno's arm as he carefully sat down.

"I thought you were used to drinks," Jaemin said while the driver started the engine.

Jeno sighed, "I am. You're the one who's worried that I couldn't walk by myself. Also, it's just champagne."

The boy pouted, "I was just worried."

Jeno chuckled and looked at the boy beside him. He looked at the bouquet of flowers and small trophy that Jaemin received a while ago at the ball.

"This should be in my office," Jeno said, holding the trophy and rotating it to see some of the details.

Jaemin looked back and sighed, "Keep it, or even hide it away from me."

"Why? You don't want to be called as the man-of-the-night?" the man wiggled his eyebrows.

"I don't like it when you're teasing," Jaemin rolled his eyes and turned his back to face Jeno.

Jeno moved closer and hugged the boy around the waist, "Awe, but it's true. You look really great tonight, sweetheart."

The boy turned around and looked at the man's eyes. He stared at them for a good minute before he finally spoke.

"Aren't you...regretting anything?"

The man's eyebrows furrowed.

"Regretting? Regretting about what?" Jeno asked.

"That we're in a weird relationship."

The man chuckled, "What's weird is you asking those kind of questions."

"No, really...Jeno, tell me the truth," Jaemin sighed, "You're not weirded out that you're dating a boy? I mean, normally, people like you date and marry women in high classes. They can give you anything you want...that I can't. Can you even give explanations if the twins gets bullied by having two fathers? What will you say to your family? What about your family name?"

"Minnie, you're overthinking. Obviously, people don't care if I marry a boy of my type. You may not be able to give anything that I want but you can give me what I mostly need. You're the only one I want. The twins will understand and surely, they'll be afraid to bully them. My family and family name are the least thing I am worried about. You're my lover, aren't you? You and twins are my number one priority from now on."

The boy pulled up a smile and hugged the man back. Do he really deserve someone like Jeno? He hasn't proved himself infront of Jeno's family. They still don't have any plans on telling the twins.

Were they really destined? A babysitter and a CEO with two children?

"Minnie," Jeno called.

Jaemin hummed.

"You're worth the wait."

It made the boy's lips to curve. Feeling loved at the moment.

Maybe they were really destined.
