It's almost the New Year's day and Jaemin with Jeno and the two twins decided to celebrate in his parents' house. Jieun and Jihoon wanted to so Jeno couldn't say no to it. They decided to spend their vacation for a week so the twins would enjoy.

It was the morning of the New Year's Eve and Jaemin woke up early to help his parents harvest some vegetables and fruits for tonight. Their farm has gotten bigger and the house was renovated, thanks to Jeno. Though Jaemin got mad about it just because he doesn't like it when Jeno does those kinds of things, he was still thankful that someone gave his parents a nice house to live in.

Jaemin bended a bit forward to stretch his lower back and groaned. He then goes back to harvesting the lettuces. He placed them inside the basket and put the basket beside the others.

"Are these enough for tonight?" Jaemin asked to his mother.

"We can always get some more when we need. Go ahead and bring these inside the house...but they might be heavy," his mother said.

"No, it's fine. I can--"

"I'll help him."

His mother looked behind and smiled, "Good morning, Jeno. How was your sleep?"

"Ah, it was quite good. I just woke up when Minnie was gone," Jeno answered and smiled back, "Where should I put these?"

"You can just go back to the room and rest. I can handle this--"

"No, Minnie. I'll help, I'm not a visitor," Jeno answered.

"Just in the kitchen, please. Thank you, Jeno."

Jeno picked up a basket and placed it on his shoulder while he handled to smaller basket on the other hand. Though he looked like he just cleaned himself, he still wants to do the dirty work. Jaemin grabbed some for himself and followed his partner into the house. They carried and placed them down on the kitchen floor.

"You could've stayed in bed or something," Jaemin said while he started washing the vegetables and fruits they got.

"Good morning, I guess..."

The boy sighed and looked back at him, "Good morning, Jen."

"You do know that I love it when I do things instead of doing nothing," the man answered and helped Jaemin to put things on the counter beside the sink.

"That's the problem. You don't know how to take rest anymore," Jaemin nagged.

Jeno chuckled and started washing up the baskets so they could put the vegetables and fruits back in, "I do, Minnie. Look, if you're upset because I put work first..."

Jaemin looked at him, "Then what?"

"I'll work you up instead."

The boy furrowed his eyebrows but blushed at his partner's comment. Jeno wiggled his eyebrows but received a punch from Jaemin on the chest. The man rubbed that part and thought it somehow hurts.

"Whatever, Lee Jeno."

"You forgot your good morning kiss, by the way."

"What? I don't give you--"

Shutting Jaemin up, Jeno just had to lean forward and place his lips on them. The boy jolted and stayed tense even if Jeno pulled away, but he didn't stop there. Jeno leaned in for more, making Jaemin melt on the second time. They slowly kissed, moving their lips in sync until they couldn't stop and involved their tongues.

But it had to be cut short.

"Good morning, daddy! Good morning, papa!"

Both of them immediately pulled away like nothing happened. Jaemin turned and squatted to hug both of his kids, stepkids, with a warm and wide smile.

"Good morning, Jieun," Jaemin said with a tiny voice and kissed her on the cheek, "Good morning, Jihoon," and did the same.

Jeno placed the washed vegetables in their baskets before he greeted both of twins.

"Ah, both of you always come in in the wrong timing," Jeno said, sarcastically with a smile.

"What, daddy?"

"Nothing."

After dinner and putting the twins to sleep, Jaemin had to pull Jeno out of the house to show him something. Jeno was confused but they left the house hand in hand as they ran down the field. They keep up and took the stairs that led up to the small hill and has a little forest.

They never let go of each other, not wanting one of them would get lost. Jaemin led them into the forest, Jeno quietly hoped nothing harmful would appear.

"Why are we even here?" Jeno asked.

Jaemin hummed, "You'll see when we get there."

It just took them a minute before they finally arrived at an empty field, filled with hip-high grasses. What amazed Jeno was the number of fireflies lighting up the dark field. He couldn't take his eyes off of them. They were like stars. When the wind blew, others came out and filling the area even more.

"My grandfather brought my grandmother here when they were young then got married, had five children. My father brought my mother here as well, then same thing happened. When I was born and grew older, my mother told me to bring and show this to whoever I want to spend my whole life with."

Jeno looked back after Jaemin told the story. The boy was busy watching the fireflies and it was the most beautiful thing Jeno have seen. The man made their hands slowly intertwined with each other, catching the boy's attention. Jeno gently pulled Jaemin closer.

"I'm so glad I found you," Jeno whispered.

Jaemin smiled warmly. Their forehead leaned against each other, staring at each other's eyes but they jolted when fireworks were off to the sky. They looked up and admired the color in the dark sky. Jeno wrapped an arm around Jaemin and looked back at him.

"Happy New Year, Minnie," Jeno greeted.

"Happy New Year, Jen."

Then spent the first second of the year with a kiss.
