It had been a week since the doctors finally let Taylor go back home. As she got inside the car she smiled as she kissed Jake on the cheek. Jake was pleased to have his mate and girlfriend finally going home with him. As we drove on the road it was very windy. The trees were swaying horrifically and it was raining hard. But Jake still didn't care.

Jake's point of view

When we got on the road I could feel her watching me. 'What are you thinking about?' She looked at me sadly as a tear rolled down her face. I looked at her with a confused look as my eye brows furrowed together. Another tear slipped from her eyes as I asked again,"What is going on?"

Then she finally looked at me. "Someone is gonna die today in this car, in this storm." I looked at her think 'Is she kidding?' but then I remembered her crying. Just then Taylor's dad drove the car into a cement wall. Before the whole front got smashed I grabbed Taylor's brother Trevor. I slammed him against the seat next to. I was about to grab their father when the window shattered and something sharp dug into my arm. I howled in pain, then everything went dark.

Throughout this whole time I had totally forgotten to check on my mate. I started swearing in my mind as my wolf Terrance was growling.

'I know Terrance I know...I just thought she was already ok' i say
'Well what if she isn't? what if she's gone?'

My wolf was definitely having a break down now. Then all of a sudden I felt a heaping amount of pain coming from my arm. I opened my eyes slowly as I saw stitches on my left arm and an if going over it. It was burning but I didn't care I wanted my mate by me, I wanted Taylor. The nurse saw I was awake and looked at me sadly. I could smell she was a wolf also. "Where is the girl that came into emergency with me?" She looked at me then said,"She's in her room next door. She got a lot of glass in her leg." I nodded then got up.

The nurse did not question me. I walked into Taylor's room as her eyes flew open. I ran up to her picked her up lightly as I placed her on my lap. I could here she was crying. My wolf whimpered as he heard her cry. "What's wrong?" I asked

She looked at me. "The nurse told me someone from our crash didn't make it." I heard her crying more."I thought you were dead Jake." I hear her say. "Shhh I'm right here baby" I say.

After about an hour of comforting she went to sleep. I put her on her bed, kissed her forehead, and went out of the room in search of who didn't make it. I walked up to Trevors room. I saw him asleep. Just then I realized. Her father didn't make it. As I walked back to her room I saw she was awake. "It was Joey, Taylor" I tell her. Then I hear her wolf crying as mine did as well. Her eyes were red as she cried harder mourning her lost.

We soon fell asleep after crying for  what felt like ages.

'We will protect her now no matter what' was the deal me and my wolf made.

Just then she shifted into a wolf. 'What's happening" I thought. Then Taylor's fur started to change. She had purple stripes going down her back. She was still asleep as the transformation didn't make her feel a thing. Then it changed me also giving me red stripes. Here is dark world wolves New alpha and Luna. By the voice I knew it was joeys. I was blessed he picked me as alpha. "We won't forget you Joey " I said as the wind stopped. After that I went to sleep.
