I saw a man who found god on a subway car once
Bible left in his seat and he picked it up
Eyes filled with wonder and curiosity
Cause you could tell it was the first time
He's ever picked that thing up thin pages in his hands
And what a terrible place to have an awakening
People walking up and down the train
Screaming about guns and murder literally
Children and adults cowering in their seats
Even though nothing would happen knowing
This is an everyday occurence it's safe
If he could find god there I mean
Why can't I find him sitting in a seat
Less than a couple of feet from me with
Our legs touching as I rest mine on his
Because nobody has been as forgiving and loving
As this magnificent perfect being before me
Nothing has shown me the light like his words
And certainly nobody has me like this
Memorizing verses from books about love for him
Unless of course this is the original sin
In which he's a false god that I'm worshipping over Him
And how I like to worship on my knees like a good Catholic
I sin everyday just like that and it feels so good
Cause he's my god that I'll worship till the end of time
