You pushed Nico off of his bed, earning an annoyed groan from him.

It took you, what, an hour and a half just to wake him up? Percy and the others should've given you a reward for doing such a hard work, but hey, you were waking up your boyfriend after all. No biggie.

Problem is, he sure was a heavy sleeper.

But the good news is, you got him to wake up by just getting him out of that coffin bed of his. You needed a badge that says, Completion of waking up a really heavy son of Hades sleeper. Maybe one of the Hephaestus kids can help you make one yourself, then all is well. Maybe Leo can.

Nico looked up at you with darken eyebags under his eyes, then closed his eyes. "Gods of Olympus, (Y/N), can't you let someone have a peaceful sleep for once?" Nico said in a croaky voice, then grabbed his blanket and covered himself like a cocoon. Again.

You rolled your eyes at him. "You know that we should be heading towards the Pavilion by now, right?"

"Don't care, don't wanna. Now, let me be and give it a rest, because you know I won't be getting up until..." Nico paused for awhile, thinking.

"By tomorrow?" You guessed.

Nico snapped his fingers. "Right. Off along now, child. You better not wake up a grumpy son of Hades now, do you?" You heard a little chuckle coming from his lips, and he went off to his slumber.

To your ears, it sounded like a challenge. And besides, you can't just let him sleep again when you've already woke the damn son of Hades up! You put some hard effort on that, and you can't let it go to a waste. You smirked like a fool, and started walking towards Nico.

"Calling me now a kid, huh? Let's see who's a kid now, Nico."

"Holy Hades, Nico, I didn't know you weighed by this much. It's like I'm carrying a sack of rice!" You complained as you were carrying Nico by the shoulders, and he was snickering like an idiot.

"Giving up so soon, (Y/N)? I expected more from a daughter of Ares."

You laughed with sarcasm. "Fat chance happening, di Angelo. Children of Ares never gives up on a challenge."

"Keep telling yourself that, (Y/N). We're just halfway through the Pavilion, and half of the others are already going back to their cabins. Why don't you just give it a rest?"

"Love you, too." You said with a growl.

He laughed at you, and gave you a kiss on the forehead. His body didn't seem to be so heavy anymore, as you realized that he can now stand up for himself. Your eyes widened. He made you carry his body halfway through the Pavilion, and he could actually manage for himself? You cursed for being so soft-hearted for a child of Ares. It was unlikely for you to be, but it was just how it is. Genes and all that.

You glared at him. "You--" You started, but was interupted by a pair of lips crashing onto yours. You can feel your face heating up, as he wraps his arms around your waist. Then suddenly, darkness envelopes the both of you.

You were shocked, knowing that Nico was shadow traveling. To somewhere, you didn't know. But once you and he landed, you were confused.

"Why are we back here outside your cabin?" You asked him. You suddenly thought, that he was about to make you piggy-back ride him towards the Pavilion, and you hoped he wouldn't.

He shrugged, then smiled at you. You melted just from his smile, because he rarely even smiles at anyone but you, and you feel special for it.

"I just want to walk with you properly." He intertwines your hand with his, and you can feel the warmth of his hand going to yours. You smile. "I guess I just wanted to spend more time walking alone with you, (Y/N)." You noticed his cheeks are now filled with a tinge of pink, but he was still looking at you. You grinned.

"I could use a walk with you from time to time, Nico."

He gave you a lopsided smile, then the both of you started walking towards the Pavilion.

"I love you, War Queen." He whispered to you as you walked. You giggled. You stopped at your tracks, and he stopped, too. You tiptoed to his face, and kissed his cheek. You whispered back, "I love you too, Ghost King."
