Of all my time on Earth, I had never seen this particular cave - or at least my dreams didn't give me any recollection of it. It was only about 5,000km from my house. I should have seen it, especially with my hybrid speed that allows me to travel at the speed of light.

I'm telling myself this while knowing, I just don't travel as much as I give myself credit for. I'd take a human life over the one I have a million times over... if I could.

As we walked in through the entrance of the cave, the greenery began to fade away until there was nothing left but darkness. Despite my natural ability to have the vision of a nocturnal animal, I couldn't see a thing in the cave.

In a few seconds I felt utterly and completely alone.

"Lucifer?" I called out, sounding foolishly brave despite being totally paralysed with fear.

I waited for a few moments, but there was no answer. There was no sound of footprints or breathing. Only water dripping at a steady speed into what sounded like a small pool of water.

A memory flashed through my mind. It showed an image of me casting a spell that lit up even the darkest of rooms. Luckily, it required nothing but the thought of the room being lit up.

I closed my eyes and thought about what the cave might look like if it had light shining into it. After what felt like an eternity, I could feel something heat up my entire body and I could hear the flames rising from all angles of the cave. My body was getting hotter and hotter, until it felt like my skin was burning off. Yet, I could not open my eyes. My mind was slowly drifting off until all I could see was white. I could not feel anything anymore. No heat, no sparks. I couldn't even feel myself breathing.

"Arabella!" A voice echoed off the walls, one that I had not heard in so long.

"You're alive!" Another voice exclaimed.

I opened my mouth to reply but nothing came out. I tried to look around to see where the voice was coming from, but my body did not move.

"Arabella. Wake up." Both of the voices said at the same time.

"Arabella! Wake up!" This time the voices were louder, and a third had joined the group.

I could feel myself being shaken violently, with comforting hands that ignited a spark inside of me. The warmth I felt on my body from before was slowly returning. My vision faded from white to pitch black.

"Belle! Wake up!" This time there was only one voice. It felt like the voice was right next to me but it still sounded distant.

"Belle! Please, wake up!" The voice was now a lot louder and it was filled with concern.

My body was being violently shaken by two firm hands that gripped my arms with such strength that made it obvious it did not belong to any normal vampire. After a few seconds the hands let go of my arms and I dropped to the floor almost instantly. It felt like landing on a pillow. It was only quiet for a few moments and I realised that the burning from before was gone. I still couldn't open my eyes, no matter how hard I tried. After a few more moments of silence, I heard quiet sobs from someone sitting very close to me.

"Wake up, Belle. Please. Wake up." Someone whispered with a broken voice. I realised that the sobs belonged to Lucifer. I had thought that the sinister feeling from before was coming from him but now it seemed like it was coming from the sense that something bad was about to happen.

Hearing his broken voice and hushed, heartbroken sobs gave me the strength to try to open my eyes once more. I finally opened my eyes but had to squint into the newfound light blinding me, indicating that my spell had worked.

Right in front of me sat the infamous Lucifer, still sobbing into his hands, not realising that I had just woken up. Despite the heartbreaking sight, I could not help but admire the way his biceps bulged under his tight t-shirt, moving slightly with every jerk of his body from his sorrowful tears, the way that his dark hair fell slightly forward with the position of his body. But the thing that threw me over the edge was the fact that he was shedding tears for the girl that was prepared to kill him, because he thought I was never going to wake up.

The sight of him at his most vulnerable stirred up so many emotions inside of me. What tragedy have you been through without me? I began crying tears of my own and crawled towards him to give him a long-awaited hug. He was startled at first but then returned the hug and let his tears flow once again; although I suspect these ones were tears of happiness.

After a long time, I pulled back from the embrace and looked around the now brightly lit up cave. At first the walls of the cave looked like they were speckled with different colours all over it. But as I focused on the different colours I realised that they were markings. I walked to the biggest one on the wall in front of me. It wasn't a marking.

It was a drawing of the two eldest demon-angels, named Arabella and Lucifer.
