Characters: Crash, Coco, and Aku Aku
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was a rainy afternoon on wumpa island. Water soaking the trees and bushes, even some of the dirt trails had become muddy.Luckily, it was not raining too hard. Which meant that it was okay for a certain orange bandicoot and his ancient guardian to go out and get some more wumpa fruit for their home. Of course, they already had enough food in the house, it's just that wumpa fruits were the bandicoot's favorite.
The bandicoot, whose name was crash, was walking his way back to his home once he and his guardian, Aku Aku, had collected enough wumpa fruits. Aku decided to use his powers to teleport himself and the fruit back to the house so that left crash with the option of returning home on foot. Now this was okay, as crash did not mind being by himself and even if any leftover creatures were to come and attack him, he would be able to protect himself.
As crash walked by a little cave, he heard a sniffle. He scanned his surroundings to figure out what made the noise and soon his eyes looked into the cave. Crash took cautious steps forward slightly bracing himself for an unexpected attacked. He then looked behind a rock in the cave and saw a bandicoot with long blonde hair. She kind of looked identical to his girlfriend- sorry Ex-girlfriend Tawna, the only differences being that she looked smaller about an inch shorter than crash. She was wearing a white t-shirt, filthy blue overalls, and mud-covered pink tennis shoes.
Crash crouched down a little to get a better look a the younger female bandicoot. As a result, the little girl gasped in fear and back away slightly with her wide green eyes staring back at the unfamiliar bandicoot in front of her. Crash felt bad for scaring her so, he gave a gentle smile and began to calmly talk to her. Hey, his way of talking might be foreign to others but because she was a bandicoot like him there was probably a chance that she would understand.
It would seem that she did understand what crash was saying because she calmed down significantly and even came a bit closer to him now knowing he was not a threat to her. However, the little bandicoot got scared again as a new voice made itself heard.
"Crash, are you in here?" Aku spoke with a worried tone.
Crash smiled and looked in the direction of the ancient and waved him over.
"Ah, thank goodness your al-huh?" Aku looked down to see a terrified female bandicoot, whom seemed a bit younger than crash.
"Oh my," Aku started as he floated down to the bandicoot duo's level, "I should have known there were going to be more lost survivors from the doctor's mess."
As Aku got closer, the smaller bandicoot began to back up. The kind-hearted spirit caught onto this quickly and gave the girl a sincere look and spoke quietly, "it's okay young one, my name is Aku Aku and I promise that I will not cause you any harm and I will protect you from danger just the same as I do with crash."
The female bandicoot slowly came forward and extended her hand out toward the floating mask as he leaned in to allow her to touch his wooden features. Her fearful expression turning into a calm and content one. Crash watched on with a smile on his face, happy to see that she was happy.
Once she let go of aku, he then 'faced' crash and began to instruct him of what they were to do next.
"Crash," the ancient began, "can you please help the little one stand? We are going to take her back to our home."
The bandicoot nodded his head turning back to the female bandicoot. He held out his hand and she hesitantly placed her hand into his. He helped her up and led her out of the cave with aku leading the way home.
