|Chapter Seven|

Kass finally drops me off at home and I go inside and Dad is there, "Where have you been?" He doesn't seem mad, just concerned "Me and Kass went camping, it was fun" "Where'd you two go?" "We went to his parent's campsite, and yes I know we missed 4 days of school." Dad walks over to me and gives me a big hug "Happy Birthday, Kam! It's your sweet sixteen, don't you remember?" "I- Oh yeah, finally!" "Your presents are upstairs." I rush up the stairs and shut the door behind me, I open the blue and gold wrapped present, probably from my friends in Riverdale. I rip it open and inside is a chest binder; I've been dying to get one of these. I open the next one; it has black hair dye and some earrings in it. I open the last one, it's from Kass, and it has a book in it, just a blank sketch book. I flip to the first page and it's a drawing of me, there's a message in it 'Fill up the other pages. – K' His hand writing is so neat, and the drawing is so realistic. I notice a red dot on it, is it blood? The book also smells like a Lysol wipe. I pick up my phone and text Kass, "Thanks for the present, and I'm sorry about before." He texts back with a smiley emoji and then sends me a photo, it's him with a knife, he has this crooked smile, and his room is all dark. He then sends me a message, "don't do that again, and yes, I guess you could call me a psycho" He sends the crazy emoji. Y'know, I have a terrible taste in friends, I don't know why, but my last group of friends were in a cult, they almost killed me. Now, my new friend is a killer, but he can't control it, that's always nice. I walk over to the dresser in my closet and grab my pajamas, and then I put them on and go to bed.

I wake up and I can smell this, rusty, metallic smell, it's not going away. It kind of smells like... Blood? I look around and it's all dark, then I hear Kass's voice, "Kam? Kam where are you?" as sweet and innocent as it seems, it's still polluted with darkness. Then I see him come out of the shadow, he looks different, more or so traumatized, then he turns and looks at me, he has blood all over his face and his eyes are a deep teal-ish color. I fall over and he comes towards me and offers to help me up, as I go to grab his hand he fades away.
