i went upstairs slowly and i heard some sobbing. i bet that was Mingi. i went into his room silently. he was sitting on the bed and looking down.
“what are you doing here? i scented your blood..”
i gulped and sat on his bed near him. i don’t know where i got the courage to be near vampires but i felt very comfortable around them as if they’re my family. “Mingi..” i called him softly. he just hummed and still looking down at the covers. i went near him and wiped his tears gently, “don’t cry..” he just looked down.
“hey.. I'm here.. You can count on me.. You can rely on me..” I smiled. He sighed and looked at me. He nodded obediently.
“i’m tired.. can i sleep here?”
“what? you’re not afraid of me?” he looked up at me. “you’re my mate.. And I already told you that you can rely on me.. That's mean, I trust you.. I accept you for who and what you are.. What you guys are.. what am i suppose to be afraid of?? I already saw a puppy that became a scary werewolf and my old friends are vampires.. and my mate is a hot vampire.. fiuhhh..”
he chuckled and i grinned. he looked at me. “ i missed your smile, Joonyeong.. i mean-” “ i get it, Mingi..” i smiled. “so?” i asked.
“huh? what?” “haihhh.. can i sleep here?” “Ouh.. of course..” “YEAAYY”
He smiled softly and stood up. “ where are you going?” i pouted. “i’m going to get you some comfy clothes.. i don’t want you to wear thin shirt and jeans while sleeping.. here, my sweater and sweatpants..” “hehe.. okie..”
i took the garments and went to change my clothes in the bathroom. when i went out, Mingi was laying in the bed, there were some pillows in line in the middle of the bed. “ i don’t want you to be uncomfortable.. so, i put some pillows between us..” he said sheepishly. i smiled and lay beside him while facing him.
“Good night, Mingi..”
“Good night, Y/N..”
i smiled and shut my eyes slowly.
“Good night, Joonyeong.. I miss you so much.. i promise i’m gonna protect you with my whole life this time.. and please don’t leave me again.. i love you, baby..” he whispered and i felt something soft on my forehead before i fell into deep sleep.
