The Road Ahead

Blaise looked at his wife sleeping on the sofa of the living room area of their RV they had pulled over to an abandoned Park area to rest for the night and pull resources and abandon cars they were no longer in need of. He walked outside with a map and put it on a picnic table and Shane walked over to him and said ''Fort Benning.''

Blaise said ''I don't think that would be the wisest Idea it most likely has been abandoned or overrun.'' He pointed to Fort Benning on the map and said ''I would rather have some place safe where the Inferi can't get to us like with water all around my wife's family has an island with a home built on it here in the states the Potter's had a separate man-made island off the coast of Mackinac Island located in Michigan it would be protected it was were we were headed to after the planes were grounded.''

Shane's eyes widened and said ''When you said she was famous you meant it''

Blaise said ''She's from an old family they have property everywhere in the world so does my family but most of the Zabini family property is located in Italy we don't have anything here.''

Shane said ''We can come with you then''

Blaise said ''There's something that we would have to tell you about ourselves but we will get to that when we are heading to the island if you all want to come that is.''

Shane said ''That is''

Blaise said ''I will ask my wife if your group can come with us it's her property after all.'' Shane nodded and Rick finally noticed them over by the table talking with a map between them and walked over with the other's in the group following. Blaise heard a tiny cry singling one of the twin's were awake. He said ''I will be back to talk to you'' he walked into the RV and saw Jasmine feeding Willow. Blaise said ''I could have made her a bottle.''  

Jasmine said ''I'm a light sleeper I would have woken up anyway'' she rubbed Willow's back and Willow looked up at her from her breast and then went back to drinking. Her hand on her chest Jasmine smiled at her and Willow closed her eyes. 

Blaise kissed her on the lips and said ''I told them about the Island well I told Shane I believe he is telling the others about it now.''

Jasmine nodded and asked ''Do you think we should invite them back Blaise?''

Blaise said ''I don't care for Muggles and you know that I won't attack them but I don't like them at all some muggles are good I'll give them that I like Shane he's a good man but the others.''

Jasmine said ''I like Jackie Stefan does too Glenn is alright also I would hate to invite three people back and abandon the rest.''

Blaise said ''It's your property if you have any problems with anyone after we get there they will be thrown out after they come past the wards but first, we have to tell them about our magic.'' Jasmine nodded agreeing with Blaise and Blaise looked when the door opened and Shane walked in Jasmine covered her breast that was out before he walked up the stairs.

Shane said ''The group has voted on Fort Benning I told them about the island but they aren't convinced I am now having second thoughts about going to Fort Benning...''

Jasmine said ''We will be fine we don't have to go all the way to Fort Benning if it's not safe we should be able to tell.''

Shane looked at the red head and nodded she had a blanket over her chest so she must have been feeding one of the babies and he said ''I'm sorry for busting in here I will knock next time.'' Jasmine nodded and Shane said ''We leave in the morning'' he walked out of the RV and shut the door and Blaise watched her as she patted Willow's back softly and she let out a small burp and then another and she cooed and Jasmine laid her down in the basinet and Stefan was awake so she went to feed him next.

Lori watched as Shane went into the Zabini RV he had been ignoring her since the Quarry and she hated it. She hadn't thought Shane would have actually listened to her when she had told him to leave her family alone. He hardly ever talked to Rick anymore or Carl sure he looked after Carl he had seen Shane kill the walker heading to Carl as they ran from the CDC. Rick had noticed the change also and had began to ask her what had happened while he had been in his coma and she didn't know what to tell him.

Shane walked out of the RV and went to his jeep to grab his things because one of the cars that was going to be left was Shane's Jeep. She walked over and Shane ignored her he pulled out some packages of food from the CDC and threw it at her and said ''Here it's for dinner.''

Lori opened her mouth but he walked away to go talk to Dale and she followed and said ''So your giving me the cold shoulder.''

Shane said ''You told me to leave you alone and now that I am now that I could careless about your family you want to bitch at me I still care about Carl I'm not going to block him out but you and Rick I don't care anymore I really don't.'' He left Lori standing with her mouth opening and closing like a fish.

Blaise walked out of the RV and saw Shane walking away from Lori and Jasmine walked out with the twin's in a basket. Jackie walked over and smiled at her and Jasmine grinned at the older woman and asked ''How are you today Miss. Jackie?''

Jackie handed the younger woman a plate of food and she answered ''Oh I'm fine dear how are you moving about after giving birth must be difficult.''

Jasmine said ''I'm fine I make remedies for pain my potion's my adopted father taught me everything I was a nurse in England I had finished going to school for Healing.''

Jackie took a sip of her coffee and nodded and said ''I worked in Atlanta before all of this I'm surprised I even left I was so sure I was going to stay in that building but here I am.''

Jasmine said ''I'm glad you choose to stay Jackie I would like to be friends with you I can teach you how to protect yourself against the Inferi if you want to learn that is.''

Jackie looked at her and said ''I would be willing to learn how to use a weapon I don't know about guns though from what I have seen they make a lot of noise.''

Jasmine hummed and looked at her husband and Blaise looked at her and said ''Yes Luv.''

Jasmine asked ''Do you have a staff of some kind in the RV or we could make one.''

Blaise said ''I could make one I don't think we have one in the RV but I can go to a construction site grab some metal and wood and make her one of each.'' He pulled out his map again and a pen to mark places down that might have what they needed.

Jasmine said ''He likes to go on scouting missions he hasn't been on one since I was seven months so.'' Glenn walked over to see what the other man was doing and talking to him and Blaise would nod and then cross off something on the map. They were going on a run into the city for the last time before it became too dark.
