There is one thing that Izuku learned about his mentor, well...he doesn't want to use the word mentor... If there was one thing Izuku learned about All Might , it is that he's a kind and patient soul. Despite how endlessly compassionate the man is, it burns Izuku, it irritates him, it's possible to even call it anger. But it is a distant fire, that can't even warm him, much like the countless pale stars that dot the night sky. They boil with endless fury but can't be felt with such distance. It's sad, really. Izuku wasn't even sure what he was feeling anymore, everything was muddled with an unbearable burden.
The burden taught Izuku much these past few weeks. He is not as good of a person as he thought he was, this anger, this guilt changes people. He knows that, but he won't do anything to fix his situation. He's never gone against his Father before, and his Father is always right? The anger that wasn't directed at All Might, his Father, or even himself only festers and sinks deeper into his core.
The festering wound pushes Izuku's thoughts into a place that he will always remember even though he wants to forget.
It's a simple fact that sometimes the boy just wants the world to burn, it is a bitter and truthful thought; it brings him to a dark place. Izuku didn't want to admit to these thoughts or feelings, as if they were some crime. The fact that they even exist terrifies him. It is despicable to want to cause harm to others because he......was so furious with his situation, the situation his Father forces him into. Especially since they never did anything to hurt him; most even might want to help him.
There were moments, rare and glimmering like diamonds, that give him hope. Pure acts of kindness from his hero, such small things...yet they seemed to change the whole world, flushing it in a rose hue, yet just as warm as they are, they come with a bitterness. He must ask the question, one that he is afraid of : Why won't his Father be like this towards him? All Might is more kind to him than his Father ever was, and it stung. He wants to try even harder so that his Father can be proud of him, but at this point, he's not sure his Father would be happy with him unless he did anything just short of killing All Might. Izuku feels like his mentor is more of a father than his real Father.
Izuku tries to swallow the knot in his throat.
More than ever before he wants to change his depressing fate and truly become All Might's successor. Izuku can't bare damning himself to this hell any longer.
He breathes in the frosty sea air, now he's even at Dagobah beach on days that he isn't training, but there is no way he could just stay home. Not any longer, anyways. The air is too cold there. He closes his eyes and tilts his head to the heavens, the sun warming his skin, sweet apricity, fueling his thoughts. He never had options to get away from his Father before. Now it was as easy as talking to All Might, himself! Izuku opened his eyes glaring into the deep blue, the boy doubts he'd be able to do it. But if he could just muster up the will to—
"Young Izuku?" The boy in question jumps and flings his head around to the familiar voice, his heart beats like wings, as he stares into the face of all his hope and freedom.
"A-All Might!" he shouts, fumbling to get up and bow to his idol, standing up straight and looking in the man's brilliant blue eyes that beamed like the sun.
The boy notices movement next to his imagined savior–a sturdy appearing man in a trench coat. Izuku looks back to All Might for an explanation, "He's a good friend of mine." Izuku narrows his eyes at the man for a brief second before smiling and offering his hand.
"I'm Izuku Midoriya! It's good to meet you, uh?"
"Detective Tsukauchi, so you're the one Toshinori picked as his successor." A detective must be an insightful man, Izuku shivers as the detective shakes his hand, he must avoid him if he doesn't want to be caught, or possibly, Izuku could buddy up with him if feels like turning himself in. Both...were equally good ideas.
