Chapter 3

Adrian pv:
I fell asleep after that, but I couldn't stop thinking about the guy from the other day, it's just something about him. I woke up in the morning to do some errands, I thought to myself that maybe I should greet the new neighbors and welcome them. I was wondering if I should bake something for them, but then I remembered I don't know how to cook. So then I got my backpack and was walking towards the door when I was confronted by my sister rubbing her eyes. " Big brother please don't leave me!" Leah said and she was already about to cry, I smiled and said "Don't worry Leah I'll be back I promise just in time for dinner ok?" My little sister looked at me with the biggest smile on her face and said, "Ok big brother, but while your out can you buy me a snack?". "Of course I can buy you a snack, just eat it after dinner ok?" I said that To her while patting her on her head. I then exit my house and walk towards the other house, I go to the door take a deep breath and knock. A woman opens the door and says, "Hello?", "Hey! I'm Adrian Perez and I saw that you moved here the other day and I just wanted to Welcome to the neighbor!" I said that with a awkward smile on my face, and the woman looked at me with a stone cold facial expression. "Hahahah you should see your face you look really stupid!!" When she said that her stone cold expression disappeared and she broke into laughter, and when she said that I felt relived. "Hey but thanks for welcoming us that nice of you. Also sorry about laughing at you I tend to do that a lot." She said that with a smile and when she smiled I felt all warm inside, "No problem I'm going to go have a nice day!", "You too Goodbye!" I then walked away, then I decided to go to the cafe near by. I looked inside the cafe windows and saw him, it was the boy I saw the other day. When I saw him my heart skipped a beat, I took a deep breath and walked inside, as I walked inside I was thinking why am I nervous? When I looked in the Boy's direction his pencil dropped into the floor so I went over and picked it up for him, and when I saw his face he was as red as a rose. I walked towards the register to get my coffee and got a chocolate lollipop for my little sister. But when I look back to where the boy was sitting he had disappeared, I shrugged it off and went back to my house. I saw him enter his house, I was going to walk over to him and say hi but I just kept walking to my house, I enter my house and there are beer bottles on the tables. Oh no they drank again (they as in his parents) while my sister was in the house?!!?!? I ran to my sisters room and her door was locked, "GO AWAY DON'T HURT ME!!" My sister screamed that at the top of her lungs and I could tell she was crying and I said, "It's me Leah, Big brother you can open the door." She unlocked the door and she ran into my arms crying, "Come on Leah let's go to uncles house for tonight ok?" I said that with a smile on my face to comfort her and make her feel safe. "Ok" answered my sister, we got out of the house and we walked to my uncles house (The uncle didn't live far don't worry readers) Knock, knock I knocked and my uncle opened to door and asked, "Did your parents drink again?", I nodded and my uncle picked up my little sister and said, "Hey little munchkin, lets get you inside and lets eat!" He said that with a warm and heart felt smile. My sister quickly went inside and ate I assumed she was starving because my parents probably didn't even cook anything for her. I sat down on my uncle's couch and he sat next to me while Leah was eating and then he told me, " hey kid you can crash here whenever your dumb parents are drunk or something or you get in a fight alright?", "Yeah I know, I came because I don't have anywhere to go and Leah was hungry" I said that while looking at Leah. "Oh ok, just letting you know you have to go back to your house early to get ready for school, and don't worry I can take Leah and you to school I'll drive you to your house so you can get ready" My Uncle said that while getting up from the couch and made the couch a bed (I didn't know what it was called when a couch turns in to a bed) he then got us blankets and pillows. "Leah come on and sleep we have to get up early and get ready for school." She then got down from the chair and cane and jumped face first on the bed, I couldn't stop thinking about how I'm going to go back in the house my parents will be furious that they found out I left the house and took Leah with me. What am I going to do?
