My name is Kailin, I'm nineteen years old, I live in Canada, and I work at my uncle Jake's restaurant. I'm a huge nerd- I love to play video games and watch others play them on Youtube. Online, I'm a typical fangirl, but irl, I'm just a chef with crippling social anxiety and agoraphobia. I haven't been anywhere apart from the kitchen of the restaurant, and my flat above it. When Jake took me in five years ago, he tried to enlist me as a waiter, but the first time I was shown to the door of the main restaurant, the world started to spin and the next thing I knew I was out cold. I told Jake about my social anxiety and the next day, he put me to work in the kitchen, which is where I've done the evening shift for four years. Six till ten, every day of the week. I spend the daylight hours listening to music and drawing the memories of my life before, and the hours from ten til four watching videos and trying to be noticed by my favourite Youtuber, Graser10. This is my life, and I know I should be grateful of all Jake has done for me. But I can't help but wonder if anything will ever change.
