Later that afternoon I tried calling Haley, but she didn't answer. After the eighth call I decided to drop the calling thing, so I texted her instead.
I'm really sorry about what happened earlier today. I don't know what got into us, but can we talk things out tomorrow - Jennifer
I had been waiting for over four hours for the reply, so I gave up.
Tuesday morning as I got out of the car, I spotted Haley. As soon as she saw me she turned around and speed walked in the other direction. I thought fast and decided to run after her.
After a while of running I finally caught up to her. Was I supposed to pick up from where we left yesterday or was I supposed to pretend yesterday never happened? I had to decide.
"Hi Haley."
"What do you want Jen?"
"I tried calling you yesterday but you didn't pick up. So I sent a text"
"I saw it"
"Well...?"
"Well...what?" Haley said as she rolled her eyes.
"Why didn't you reply?"
"I was busy. Okay?"
"Haley, what's the deal with you? What are you angry about?"
"I'm sorry Jen."
"Its okay Hals. So are you going to tell me what's wrong?"
"if I tell you, you will never me again"
"So you think keeping me in the dark is better?
"I'm sorry Jen." That was what she said before she ran off.
I wonder what's going on.
The bell rang and I went to class as usual. When it was lunch I went to the cafeteria to look for Haley so I could find out what was up with her.
I didn't have to look for long before I heard the answer.
