This was dedicated to my friend and a father's dad's daughter who suffered too. It was a letter that has already been sent. I put in hours to make this.
I know how it feels to be deppressed. It feels very challenging, overwhelming, and uncontrollable. I found some ways to cope with my sadness and I hop it'll help you. Be open and believe in trying something new.
One way to cope is by laughing at yourself. You make a joke that points out how exaggerated your reaction is to your problem in your head. Or you make a joke about a dramatic contrast between your challenge and a challenge you don't have that's much more difficult and different in your head. This will help you realize that maybe some of your challenges or silly habits aren't as serious, as you believed. It will help you accept yourself.
"When one door of happiness closes another one opens. But, we look so long at the closed door we don't see the one open for us." Helen Keller proposed. Well there are so many "doors of happinesses" that you can enter. For example you can do little acts of kindness to make a friend happy. You can take action to improve your mind, body, and soul. You can pursue in a hobby or try new hobboies. Whatever you do don't let the "closed doors" hold you back. This will give you hope, and better things to focus on, and a growth mindset.
"Treat yourself like how you treat a friend or someone you deeply respect." Think about it how would you feel if a friend insulted you every day. You would hate your friend. That's why every negative thought you have about yourself, makes you hate yourself more and more. Encourage yourself like you would for a friend, not defeat yourself. That way you will stop hating yourself if you do.
Name how you feel. That way you can release your feelings out of the tears you shed.
Lastly, but not least don't worry about saving everyone, because luckily people in the world and mother nature are working to improve it every year. As years pass by, people are becoming more and more wealthy, even in the poor countries, diversity acceptance is now almost an everyday thing and the amount of murders are minimizing every year too.
It's also great to avoid negative influences. Any stories, news, and movies, because writers ,sometimes enjoy, exagerating the negativity and put aside the positive.
Anyways, hope you recover and become well. Please let me know if my advice helped you.
